    Sony mdr xb1000 thoughts

I also would recommend buying the Fiio E6: http://www.fiio.com.cn/product/index.aspx?ID=31&MenuID=020301, which is a portable headphone amp, featuring 3 eq settings, two of which increase the bass level, or I'd recommend getting any number of the other amps they sell in case you have more money...

    Fiio E 6 newby

I guess the distortion, by using the first and largest bass boost function on the e6, is simply due to the low resistance on your headphones or to the lack of high quality? (when I use low quality headphones with this amp, it usually distorts them pretty badly, especially with the 1st bass boost...

Sennheiser IE80s vs. Utimate Ears UE900?

You should try the ue900s/the tf10s. The earbuds on them are huge! I'm lucky that the small earbuds fit me! and the memory wire would also help with comfort.

Sennheiser IE80s vs. Utimate Ears UE900?

True... true... but I already have an E6... so I can adjust the bass on practically any headphones thrown at me... and the e6 only costs an extra $25, which is very worthy investment if you ask me... and it's portable...

Adidas HD 220 Originals OR Adidas CX 310 Originals

Well considering I already have these headphones, along with the tf10s and the mdr xb1000s, I'd think I'd spend that $99 on beatport, that is if I had $99 dollars to spare right now...

    Fiio E 6 newby

Just as a question for reference, does the bass on your headphones sound distorted when connected to your walkman (with no e6)?

Rank the Headphones that You Own.

    1)UE tf10 2) Sony MDR-XB1000 3) Sennheiser cx310 4) Sony MDR-XB300 5) Apple's sad excuse for headphones

Adidas HD 220 Originals OR Adidas CX 310 Originals

I'd go with the cx310's, since I wouldn't spend such a small amount of money on over the ear headphones. Also, it comes with a nice carrying case, and you can take them out and put them in on the go (really easily). Also look less cheesier

Sennheiser IE80s vs. Utimate Ears UE900?

*with an amp that is, with a bass boost function

Sennheiser IE80s vs. Utimate Ears UE900?

I'd go with the UE 900s, hearing that the bass on the IE80s can be a little bit overwhelming at times, and seeing that you can always turn up the bass on the ue900s at any given time. Also, I like the sound signature of the tf10s A LOT, so I'm assuming the UE900s will sound even BETTER.

Sennheiser IE80s vs. Utimate Ears UE900?

I think the I-80s are supposed to be more bassy, so if that's what you want, I think you should go with those... Though I do enjoy the sound quality of my tf10s...

    Sony mdr xb1000 thoughts

I own the mdr xb-1000s and the bass extends REALLY deep, and the soundstage is very spacious, that is for a headphone with a closed design (open back). The highs, on these headphones, can be sometimes intrusive, however, on almost all well recorded songs, this is no problem. And I'm sure, if you...

    New Release from UE ! UE900 & UE9000

Oh wow... Sorry for failing so hard guys... But I still think the UE 900s will have/have an excellent sound signature, inferring they should sound similar to the tf10s. But I guess the best way find out how they sound is to go find out for yourself/check out other forums and reviews of these...

    New Release from UE ! UE900 & UE9000

I'd at least trust the UE 900s to sound good, seeing that they flash 4 balanced armatures, as opposed to the UE 700s, that only have two balanced armatures. Since I own a pair of logitech tf10s, that flash 3 balanced armatures, and love their sound quality, I am sure that the UE 900s can at...
