I use Poweramp and I've had the hs3000 for almost a year since I got the S3. I agree you should give the hs3000 a try.... If you can find one.

My E07K works perfectly with my Samsung Chromebook. My Play Music library consists of Flac files I uploaded which were automatically converted to 320kbs mp3s . for what it is, I have no complaints.

I've used an external RME firewire interface. All things considered I think they do a great job with their drivers and software.

Hey. I'm new here too and also from NYC. I use my ATH-M50's for recording and sometimes mixing in the studio (mostly hip hop). No complaints here at all.  

I use an 0404 USB between laptop and desktop, but a Babyface is in my future, hopefully. Check it out.
