Recently I have received a pair of HE-500 and Hifiman EF-5 headphone amplifier through a prize draw - lucky me .   On first hearing I can say they are well matched gears BUT I think if the performance of the EF-5 can be improved further I am sure there should be a jump in the overall SQ.  ...

I found the ear pads of LCD-X are too soft and when I put the headphones over my head I noticed that my ears are almost touching the drivers.  I have the impression that when my ears are too closed to the drives in over-the-ear headphones the soundstaging might be affected. I got this feeling...

I have just received my Frequency Response Graph for my LCD-X from Audeze.  If you also have one you may wish to post a copy and compare the difference.    

  I purchased a pair of Senn HD800 headphones two weeks ago to replace my AKG Q701 and HD650.  My ears told me that HD800 is really a wonderful pair of CANs that the music reproduction is very much superior than my HD650 and AKG Q701.  I am totally satisfied with this flagship headphones...
