The HD800 melt my ears! But not in a good way! The vocals seem far to present and not balanced with everything else. I own a creative x7... Sorry I cant invest in anything else. Can you advise on some eq slider settings that will reduce the issues am having. I have never used EQ before..... Thanks

Long story short I was burgled. They stole my Denon D2000 headphones. My insurance replace with a old for new.   They have emailed me saying suitable replacements would be the denon dn-hp1000?   Are they right? or should I argue for a better model that you think matches?   :)
