Sorry for the stupid question - this thread looks like dying, which is unusual for a thread on such new IEMs. Is there another thread going on that I'm just too stupid to find? Or are the Prophile-8 not raising that many attention compared to say the EM9?

  I do not have any problem with ends of songs being cut - might be you have a problem here, either with your files or your Jr. For the USB DAC fuctionality, I'd say Windows is broken, as any DAC + mass storage will have the same problem here.

So I've had the Jr for about a month now, paired with SM64, using it like you for traveling purpose: flights but also when alone at the hotel. As I had an amp (practical devices XM6) beforehand, I used to bring it with me on the first travels. In planes, I have not been able to spot a difference...

  Well, actually, I think the Oppo is an Amp/DAC only, while the Jr is both a DAC and a DAP - which makes it completely different. Let me explain. USB3 is for file transfer only; there is no Audio layer available on top of it. So for the OS to send raw music file to a DAC, it must default back...
