Thanks for this - I can't imagine a DAC in the cable is as good as the on-device dac ? And even if it is, my no brand aftermarket cable isn't going to have lost sleep over the quality of his DAC in the cable... I'll look in to the Fiio one - thanks.

Recently upgrade means I'm lumbered with an adaptor. It seems to give off a slightly different signature through my IEMs (BGVP DMG). I can't quite pin down the difference, maybe less bright ? IDK Anyone report similar findings ? I have an after market connector - not gen apple. JJ

Ah - makes sense. It looks like Linsoul actively source some gems rather than just taking the next set out of the factory - it's all good. I would havent found bgvp without them but it never hurts to cross check internet sources.

Are there any reviews coming in from other sources ? I dont doubt they are a great set, but I'd like some more corroboration. Can't see much out there at the moment. No disrespect, but everone seems to have Linsoul review sets.

I appreciate this is an old thread, but I'm running in some Piston 3's in as I type, after a lengthy spell with Superlux 381's.   Early days yet, but my first reaction is that the Superlux are a bit better - albeit the cost a few dollars more.   It seems the Pistons are a more forward...

I picked up some of these Rediopaqs for a £10.....they're something...... different !   As has been written elsewhere, the bass is deep, clear, and heavy.  I like my sound this way, but even I know its on the heavy side -  but i should stress it remains crystal clear.  However, beyond that...
