An index for IEM tip and barrel sizes

Ancient thread, but since I was drawn here in my search for ER-6 sizes ... having added to my collection of ER-6Is: Etymotic ER-6i 3.55 mm or 0.140 in Sony NC300D 4.82 mm or 0.190 in Etymotic ER-6 4.5 mm or 0.177 in (my measurement) For the ER-6 and NC300D I use Comply TX200 tips, for the...

Question: Bluetooth dongle that lets you use mic that's part of plug-in headphones.

I ran across this ancient thread while reviewing my Bluetooth gizmos ... I had a similar desire and acquired an HTC BH S600 ... there is another post here about it, but it seems to be discontinued, and so may be difficult to find. I do see a listing for new stock on eBay UK for 29 pounds, not...

Sennheiser CX 380 Sport 2 reviews?

bumping as these are still available on Amazon US from a few vendors fro about $40 US ... I got mine when they were first discontinued for a very good price largely after reading this review ... very comfortable, secure fit, and fairly good sound! I've been happy with mine for a few years now...

    Headband With Built-in Removable Headphones

Resurrecting this ancient thread because I thought I'd mention how I approached sleeping with 'phones and specifically the Tooks Sportec Band ... I resisted buying these for myself, but asked for them from my spouse as a present this past Christmas .. I carefully thought about it, and had...

Sony MDR-1RBT mods, equalization, impressions and so on.

Good description ... For now though I'll likely stick to the original pads until they fail, then use the Beyer pads, and perhaps a dab of superglue where the pads don't quite reach the groove ... I don't mind the stock pads that much (the Beyerdynamics would be more comfy though)

Sony MDR-1RBT mods, equalization, impressions and so on.

I re-looked through all the pictures ... they are very close to the same (your 1RBT and my 1RNC) ... probably any differences would have to be in a side by side comparison ... sometime maybe I'll see if I can find a 1RBT and do that side by side. Thanks for re-checking your setup though. I...

Sony MDR-1RBT mods, equalization, impressions and so on.

We are on the same page ... I'm also trying the Beyerdynamics pads. I am suspecting that Sony may have a slightly different shape here on the NC version ... these do have the 50 mm drivers ... as I mentioned, the distance from ear-edge to the groove reaches 7.6 mm on the NC ... with yours...

REVIEW: Sony MDR-NC300D Noise Cancelling IEMs

Resurrecting this old thread because I am thinking of purchasing either the MDRNC300D or the MDRNC100D .... FenderP you do seem to cover so many of the NC earphones both over and in ear (if I understand you MDR1RNC posts, you have transition to strictly overear now), I was wondering if you...

Sony MDR-1RBT mods, equalization, impressions and so on.

Since I resurrected this thread, I thought I would answer Phil1984's question on bluetooth antenna location from 8/8/13:

Sony MDR-1RBT mods, equalization, impressions and so on.

Yeap .. I'll look for your photos, but there is a groove around the cup where the pads "tab ring" inserts ... the distance from the groove to the ear side of the cup is the problem ... on the NC it varies in size from 4.5 mm to 7.6 mm (measuring that size on the MDR-V6 it is 2 mm) ... width of...

Sony MDR-1RBT mods, equalization, impressions and so on.

I want to report that the MDR1NC looks the same in terms of earpad mounting ... just the addition of a microphone capsule sideways mounted above the driver ... thank for the detailed pictures, Ashade, so I planned to replace the pads with the Beyerdynamic Velour pads ... as others have reported...

Review: TCG T-Box, a new compact portable amp

How much maximum voltage gain does this amplifier have?   It is interesting to me the the datasheets for the TPA302 show the two channels have different characteristics .. output 2 has significantly more distortion.  The TPA152 datsheet may just not have that level of detail.  It could...
