I know this is a somewhat old thread, but...   I just received this unit, and will be returning it, and here's why.   1) if you use a USB cable that is more than a couple of feet long, it does not work, at least not with my PC.  I had to use the supplied 1.5ft cable. 2) it does not even...

I'm wanting to replace the cord on my V6 headphones with a straight cord. Soldering is not a problem for me, but I'm not sure how to open the earpiece. Has anybody done this before?

I hope there are still enough V6's in the supply channel to pay my house off early.

Being a newbie, I thought they were good, but only because I hadn't heard anything else. One I got the V6's, the 600's were permanently retired.

Actually, I like the V6 plugged into my Sony MD for portable use. They don't reach earsplitting audio levels, but they do sound quite good, and are closed.
