AKG K240 MKII vs K271 MKII

Hey guys. I've narrowed my choices to one of these two. Which one do you guys think is best? My music is a wide range. Ranging from bass heavy and detail oriented such as jazz. I keep hearing people also mentioning the DT770 from Beyerdynamic. Whiat do you say? I guess this needs two answers...

    Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO THOUGHTS

I was looking at the 80ohm. I just read that the DT880 is good for highs like jazz. How's the bass on them though?

    Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO THOUGHTS

I'm confused. Everybody says they're good. But reviews are different than people that actually own them. Reviews are just quick summaries of how they are. THey usually only use them less than a day I would assume. It's so hard looking for a closed-back headphone that is good for detailed music...

    Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO THOUGHTS

Who here likes these headphones? Are they good for deep bass songs as well as jazz and classical where the details are important? Does the lack of a detachable cord turn you off? Do they need an amp? How is the long term comfort? (I usually use my headphones on cross-atlantic 14hrs+ flights)

    AKG K240MKII thoughts?

How do these compare to the K271 MKII? Which is better? I like bass but I also like detail in my music. Bass is important to me but it is also important for me to be able to hear subtleties in music such as the subtleties from jazz. I wanna be able to hear the slightest pin drop

    HDJ-2000

Also gotta be comfortable for long hours of use. And they must be around-the-ear heaphones. Not even on-the-ear

    HDJ-2000

I have some songs that have a good amount of bass and I also listen to some jazz. Oldies and some Michael Buble. I'd say detail of music is more important cuz if I can't hear what's going on in the song then its not worth listening to. I'd be ok with less bass. Not "light or non-existant bass"...

Is there more to headphones than just frequency?

I'm gonna be using it more for on the go. Portable devices and laptop. I wouldn't really be having a stationed amplifier at home type of setup. I can buy a portable amp because it sounds like I'm gonna have to do that anyways. Also, what's up with headphone cables? I saw a company selling a...

Is there more to headphones than just frequency?

The reason I ask is because I see some headphones, usually dj style, and they have a lower frequency range. Yet some of them are more expensive than headphones with a higher frequency range. Why is this? I'm killing myself looking for headphones and I don't know what the hell to do. On one hand...

    The best all around headphones

In your opinion what are the best all around headphones. I'm also looking at your answer as a suggestion. I have a wide range of music from bass heavy to detailed. When I say detailed I mean the song has little subtle sounds and details that need to be picked up in the song. Like Michael buble...

    HELP!!!!! NEED NEW HEADPHONES

What about the Ultrasone PRO 900? Just saw that. I know its bass is good but how's the clarity? Some of my music has very subtle noises and especially the "unplugged" type of music including jazz. Do they catch all noises?

    HELP!!!!! NEED NEW HEADPHONES

Any suggestions for portable amps also? I assume majority of high end headphones I'm gonna be looking for are in the 32 to 62ohm range.

    HELP!!!!! NEED NEW HEADPHONES

So then why do they make portable amps if they're not gonna make a difference? That's pretty much what people are saying

Good headphones under $300? (bose or sennheiser)

Yeah I'm a beginner too and one thing I noticed is Bose is more for basic consumer listening. Don't get me wrong I have the previous version of the Bose Triports and the sound was good. Lacks Bass but sound was clear. The thing about people in any audio forum is they hate Bose and Beats, not...

    HELP!!!!! NEED NEW HEADPHONES

I was interested in the Technics RP-DH1200.They seemed good but then again the reviews confused me. They were saying that when you wear them, the speakers inside the headphone touch your ears and takes getting used to. Anyone know if they're actually around the ear?

    HELP!!!!! NEED NEW HEADPHONES

Hey guys,   I've put up several posts regarding headphones and I've gotten nowhere. Here's what I need from a headphone.   Budget: $300 max   Open/Close: no preference; I would guess closed because it takes care of the bass but open cuz it takes care of highs   Style: around the...

    Which headphones to buy?

I posted a thread regarding what headphones I wanted to buy. I wanted to buy a K702 but was told that I'll have issues with not using an amp because I would use them on the go. What headphones would you guys suggest I buy for on the go? I used to have the Bose Triport headphones but they broke...

    About to purchase a K702

Ok. Thanks for your input. So if that's the case, what would you recommend for an over the ear headphone that I can use when on the go? Also on an airplane. Noise cancellation isn't a big issue.
