Recommend me a pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones

I am currently using a pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones I bought from a local store for RM 59 ( usd20) some time ago. Looks a ripoff from the LG design iem. Few problems with this unit. 1. There is a flashing blue and red light when I use it. Annoying since I use it at night. Disturbing...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Hi,   Sorry to resurrect an old thread. It shows that I keep using it until now. The sponges which cover the drivers are deteriorating on mind. Any ideas what would be a good replacement? The pads itself is still fine. I did try to recycle my old Philips HP890 pads on these, since I like the...

Motherboard: Gigabyte Sniper.M5 or Asus ROG Maximus VI Impact for best onboard soundcard?

Quote:   Quote:     I got the Asus Z87i-pro. Running it on the 3rd day now. No regrets :) https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87IPRO/#overview   The ALC1150 is neutral compared to the ALC888 on my Gigabyte EP43-DS3L which was slightly warmer. You hear a lot more lows and the...

Motherboard: Gigabyte Sniper.M5 or Asus ROG Maximus VI Impact for best onboard soundcard?

Quote: Interesting. I will let you know with the ALC1150 codec on the Asus Z87i-pro motherboard when I get it. Which is probably next week earliest. I can almost certainly say that any chip is better than my Asus U46SV laptop Sonic Focus sound card. I had a LGA775 which had ALC888 and that...

The hifi still works. This hifi is about 15 years old now. Bought in US and bought a transformer to go with it to use in a country with 240V. Just recently (a month) this humming noise started to occur. It hums in standby mode. The humming noise is constant and in two tones. It alternates...

Motherboard: Gigabyte Sniper.M5 or Asus ROG Maximus VI Impact for best onboard soundcard?

Which motherboard should I go with? The Gigabyte has a creative sound card. The ROG has a supreme impact sound card. I can't find details of the Creative chip on Gigabyte's website. Also I don't know what is the Asus codec. Maybe a Xonar or a Realtek-ALC codec?   Thanks for the feedback.

Are there headphones that allow in ambient noise? (for office use)

Quote: Budget mentioned in post above :) I think the headphones you mentioned are out of my budget Quote:   Got the HTF 600. They are quite good headphones-soundwise. I can imagine wearing them for a long time. The clamping force is adequate to strong, slightly stronger than my...

Are there headphones that allow in ambient noise? (for office use)

Thanks for the info. What aobut the AT AD700? Is it good in this situation?   After reading reviews of the Panasonic HTF600, I noticed that it has good isolation. That may be slightly problematic, if I can't hear someone at the door.   I purchased the Panasonic :D Just my luck someone on...

Are there headphones that allow in ambient noise? (for office use)

Quote: About £50 or USD75 or slightly more. These headphones will be permanently placed in the office, so they need to be durable, comfortable, and not cost a lot. Also, since it will be used at the office, I prefer something without an amp if possible. I think it will drive directly from...

Are there headphones that allow in ambient noise? (for office use)

I work in an office, but I want to listen to music, without disturbing people. I also need to be able to know when someone is knocking at the door. So far the only method I found is using cheap Sony MDR earbuds/earphones which came with my mp3 player (or was it cassette walkman). I tried my Sony...

Need replacement for 10 year old broken Philips HP890. Good sound, comfortable and not that expensive.

maybe the used hp890 you bought was a bad unit?   10 years is a long time for headphones to get better. The takstar 2050 look good as well. Added that to the shortlist. Thanks :)

Need replacement for 10 year old broken Philips HP890. Good sound, comfortable and not that expensive.

Thank you for the reply. I've checked the Sony. Is it true that the phones leak sound? I would like something that does not leak sound as it defeats the purpose of using the headphones and not disturbing others. :)   I was thinking of the Audio Technica AD700. It looks a lot like my Philips...

Need replacement for 10 year old broken Philips HP890. Good sound, comfortable and not that expensive.

I have been using the Philips HP890 for about 10 years now. Then the arm broke between the silver ring and the body above. More pictures in another thread. I tried superglue, and duck tape-did not work. Superglue does work at all while with duck tape does work, but the joints slowly loosen and...
