What pisses you off while you listening music?
I can't say that I can hear that difference, while still can hear difference between digital sources(usb->spdif converters). Maybe it's depends on internal windows sound processing stuff. So sound became much more detailed in your case?- rolandmsv

As far as I know, designer has no relation to any of soviet orthos, but Izophones sound much better than HE-500 anyway — cleaner, faster sound without upper-mids spike and solid bass texture. Mids and highs almost as good, as in SR-407. They going to make aluminium body, so I suppose that final...- rolandmsv

I just like those memory foam on-ear type pads. Philips also have the same, not shure if they have that big though. Can't say that is much difference in sound between stock, Shure or Sony pads, but with Sony bass is bit deeper as they providing better sealing. Now I only need foldable headband...- rolandmsv

Not shure if XB800 bigger than XB600, but if so, XB800 pads would fit T30 just perfect.- rolandmsv

It's fine, there is no need to hurry. Also, this how XB600 pads looks like on T30: Bit smaller than need to be, but very soft and comfortable.- rolandmsv

Yep. In theory, placing ring of felt on the back side should work opposite to reflective dot which brighten highs. In my opinion there is more sense to place damping from the center of driver(at least for iso-dynamics) as Faust described in wikiphonia article about T30. I like stock...- rolandmsv

Interesting, I just removed them. There was black lens on one of mine T30s and maroon on another, but I think black one was installed by previous owner.- rolandmsv

Does anyone tried other than XB700 pads on T30? Shure HPAEC 550 bit bigger then original but does fit okay. They bit softer, and I can listen T30 for hour or two with this pads. Is there any other on-ear pads suggestions? Bought broken pair of XB600, waiting them for arrive. I like fit of...- rolandmsv

I'm not saying that stat's can't deliver bass for electronics. They can! But getting 407's for electronic only might not be great idea. I love electronic as well as metal, especially psychodelic one. But I should admit, that 407's handle death-metal better than bass-heavy electronic music...- rolandmsv

Quote: Whoa?! Are you serious? Yes, they might be better then HD800. But stat's for electronic? I keeping modded Fostex T50 and random dynamic can's for that stuff. If you gonna listen only electronic(especially bass heavy) I don't see any reason to buy Stax.- rolandmsv

Quote: Never heard 303, but was comparing 307 and 407 with 323S amp, as a result - waiting for my 407's delivery($565 shipped from Japan, it's a steal for that sound). 407 has more extended bass and treble, and also lack of upper-midrange harshness I heard in 307. Personally, I think...- rolandmsv
