    Where do I try out all Audioengine A5's, Swan M200, M-Audio BX5a

Quote: I agree, but they sound so freaking good haha. I have BX5a Deluxes myself and even though smoke came out of one of them, they still sound great (I think I shorted something somewhere LOL). I've found M-Audio's in guitar center before so you still might be ok on that.

A good counterpart to the KRK Rp6g2's

Stuff like this? http://emusician.com/remixmag/how_to/technology/remix_diy_acoustics/ I've looked at it but I really doubt the aesthetics and practicality of a bass trap in the room.   If you have a better site than that, I would love to take a look at it. There's just too large a list of...

Maybe not even the DAC and just the RP10s then. I don't have complete say over these speakers so I can't change them, but I can add to them. Think of it like shared ownership.

A good counterpart to the KRK Rp6g2's

Well all in all I would do the VXT line but I'll be stuck with the RP6G2's. I just want a fuller sound, so I'm guessing that I could just spend <100 on a DAC and just get the RP10s anyways.

A good counterpart to the KRK Rp6g2's

Quote: I've tried reading some things about the connections and I've failed to see if it really mattered so I don't know haha. But the more I read on DAC's for speakers, the more I see that the price of the desktop DAC or amp is not a good quality determiner. Like a $60 behringer dac is...

Looking for... I don't know the term!!

Quote: I thought that was what "passive" volume control meant, that it won't affect the sound other than volume control. I might be mistaken though.

A good counterpart to the KRK Rp6g2's

Quote: Any one in specific I should look for to listen to hip hop (Nuforce Icon amp/zero dac/maverick audio TubeMagic D1 DAC/temple audio bantam xc2/HRT Music Streamer II/Yulong U100/Audinst HUD-MX1/etc.)? More specifically, compared to the rp10s and my current soundcard, would this DAC...

    Where do I try out all Audioengine A5's, Swan M200, M-Audio BX5a

Finding the swans might be a more dedicated speaker store since they're kind of like rare imports from China, but you can go to Guitar Center to find things like the BX5a, maybe A5's, KRK's, Mackie's, Yamaha's, etc. Just call the store and they'll tell you if they have any up for auditioning...

BX5a with which subwoofer and soundcard?

Look into the Xonar Essence STX for a good soundcard. If you want it for gaming as well, Auzentech X-Fi Forte might be a good alternative, but most tend to go towards the STX/ST.   Also, if you want, you could also look into DAC's. They're in essence external sound cards, and ones that you...

A good counterpart to the KRK Rp6g2's

I have KRK RP6G2's run through a Creative X-Fi titanium sound card on the desktop, and I was wondering what would be the next logical step into making this setup sound better on the computer(within the price range of these speakers anyways, nothing ridiculously stretching so <$400)? Would it be...
