Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Thank you for all the suggestions. I tried few on/off: will try a couple of more prolonged power-cycle, disconnectiong power for up to 1 day. As for update drivers: mmm... Windows 10 should support Geek Pulse natively. I had drivers for Windows 7, never installed a driver for windows 10...- Nando1970

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
My Geek Pulse has suddenly stopped being recognized by Windows10 (USB) and also doesn't play from the TOSLINK input. It has been there for years, working from USB + TOSLINK without a glitch and now just died... Screen is ok, it is responsive to the knob, but firmware appears to be 0.0 anything I...- Nando1970

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics
Anyone experiencing dropouts? I have dropouts with my Pulse (February, Firmware 2/2.1) sources: Logitech Touch, Windows+foobar (both are dropout free using other DACs as FiiO X3, ODAC, etc) files: FLAC 16/44.1, FLAC 24/96, MP3 320 connections: I've been using both USB and Toslink ...- Nando1970

The Fiio X3 Thread.
I've had the X3 it's four months now, I've been using it with Etymotics 4ER-S custom fit. It has replaced my previous on-the-go gear: S:flo2+Leckerton UHA-4 I listen to FLAC (24/96, 24/88.2, 16/44.1), MP3, and AAC, stored on a SanDisk SDXC 64GB. I've appreciated all firmware upgrades...- Nando1970

USB DAC support would be an amazing feature! X3 is going to be a killer product. I start dreaming about it... If also usable with smartphone/Android/iPad... oh boy!- Nando1970

The Fiio X3 Thread.
Just got my X3, very pleased so far. Is there a consensus about which 64GB micro SD works without problems? I am considering Samsung Micro SDXC SanDisk Ultra Micro SDXC Transcend TS64GUSDU1 MicroSDHC Class10 U1 I know I will have to format them as FAT32 I would use...- Nando1970

Anedio D2 DAC release
I would love a shootout between the following DACs (quickly found web prices listed) Anedio D2 Grace Designs m903 NAD M51 Mytek Stereo 192-DSD Benchmark DAC-2 The last 3 are DSD enabled, which is relevant for me. All but the NAD should be decent amp for my HD650. ...- Nando1970

The FiiO X3 Thread UPDATE: Project Back On! Read the First Post for Information.
The indication that it will have gapless playback has really put this on the top of my wish list. Line out, digital out, great codec coverage, and gapless playback: bingo If sound quality is up to S:flo2, this is gonna be my reference portable DAP- Nando1970

HD650 Transportable Amp
I've just ordered ODAC + O2 for my HD650. The alternative I've been considering was UHA-6S MKII, since it should be better of the older UHA-4 which I happily use for my portable setup and has no problem driving the HD650 to decent levels- Nando1970

looking for headphone amps < 350 EUR/ $400 for HD650
for that budget ODAC + O2 are probably without real competitors. and buy from: http://epiphany-acoustics.co.uk/our-products/heaphone-amplifiers/ehp-o2d-miniature-desktop-headphone-amplifier-with-usb-dac/ or http://www.headnhifi.com/o2-odac-combo I've just ordered mine for my HD650- Nando1970

portable rig upgrade itch: next step toward nirvana sound
I've been enjoying my S:flo2 -> Leckerton UHA-4 -> Etymotics ER-4S with custom mold for a couple of years now. I am very happy with this rig. Anyway since these days most of my listening is on the go I am considering to improve the rig... you know that typical upgrade itch... In the...- Nando1970

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
any chance a future firmware update could enable support for 88.2kHz via USB? Or maybe it's been already fixed? (sorry I can't really go through this thread's 235 pages) this is the deal-breaker for me, I would really love to get the E17...- Nando1970

Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4
has anyone compared the UHA-4 with FiiO E17 ? I'm tempted to get a FiiO E17 for its 24bit / 96kHz DAC support: it would come handy with some hi-res stuff on my desktop PC. Anyway since the amp usage is mainly with my S:flo2 I don't want to compromise on the sound quality of my portable setup- Nando1970

go for a USB DAC and you'll be glad. The Fiio E17 is a good suggestion: I'm using the older and cheaper E7 with very good results- Nando1970
