Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Lol, interestingly put average_joe. I figured there was a revision, just didn't know for sure. I assume there were no alterations to the shape of the shell?- shadowfox42

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
I've heard there may be revisions of the Sm3s that might use a different material for the shell. Has anyone heard anymore about this? *Keep in mind, I "might" be selling my ck10s within a couple weeks, not 100% sure though. I find it incredibly hard to part with these...- shadowfox42

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
I received my ck10s a little over a month ago. I can honestly say that ljokerl's review is absolutely spot on in every aspect. They are the most detailed IEMs I've ever used, however, I did find the ck10s a little too sparkly and bright for my taste. This, of course, is not a flaw but rather a...- shadowfox42

Cowon D3 - It's official :)
I wonder if the expandable memory will be compatible with SDXC technology. SDXC cards have been out over a year, I believe it's time players start utilizing this technology.- shadowfox42

Question regarding the iMod (4th Gen iPod version) line-out jack
I understand that RedWineAudio converts the headphone jack of the 4th Gen iPod into a dedicated line-out jack and while an amp is recommended, it's not really required if your head/earphones have a built-in volume attenuator or adapter. So my question is this head-fiers, how would this...- shadowfox42

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Ah, Earsonics Sm3, the review I had been waiting for. Fantastic job ljokerl, that was incredibly detailed I might consider purchasing these someday, though it won't be for awhile since I recently forked out $260 on my ck10's. I'm still waiting on them -_-- shadowfox42

Broken RE0's and bad luck with IEM's
Your welcome, RokBoks and kudos on the success with head-direct. I wonder if those who owned the original, cloth cable version of the re0 had better luck with durability, anyone know? Just curious.- shadowfox42

Can Monsters Gel Tips fit the RE0's?
No, the sound quality isn't a huge difference at all. I just get no distortion with the Fuze. Distortion with the Zune 120 is practically non-existent, but on some occasions I can hear a slight hint of it with certain highs. You're using a 4g nano, so distortion may even be much less than my 2g...- shadowfox42

Can Monsters Gel Tips fit the RE0's?
I do use my re0's quite often, even though the left driver has become a little bit defective, I used scotch tape to fix it as I wait for my next IEMs. I don't use them with my nano often, but have enough to know I prefer them paired with my Sansa Fuze or Zune 120.- shadowfox42

Can Monsters Gel Tips fit the RE0's?
On my iPod 5.5g and nano 2g it does have some distortion on high volume, not on medium volume, however. I'd say distortion starts at about 70% volume level. A Fiio E5 may improve the re0, but not to it's fullest potential.- shadowfox42

Broken RE0's and bad luck with IEM's

Can Monsters Gel Tips fit the RE0's?
No, they aren't difficult. I haven't heard the Sennheiser CX680's, CX500's, nor the Klipsch S2's. So I can't really be the Judge. From what I've gathered, I would assume that the RE0's are better.- shadowfox42

Can Monsters Gel Tips fit the RE0's?
Yes, the Sony hybrids fit the RE0s perfectly and provide great isolation as well as sound. I find them superior than the monster tips, but that's a matter of personal preference.- shadowfox42

Can Monsters Gel Tips fit the RE0's?
Yes I have the re0s and they sound great with the monster gels, bass was slightly punchier than the foams. I didn't use mine all that long, I preferred the sony hybrids, so I cannot exactly determine the lifespan of the monster tips. However, they seem to be very well made. They should...- shadowfox42

Broken RE0's and bad luck with IEM's
I too, receive some signal when moving the cable around. I've even gone as far as using scotch tape to keep it held in place. I'm desperate to keep them working so I can try them with my coming S:Flo2. After that I'm going to buy me a different, but similar sounding pair of IEMs. ...- shadowfox42

IEMs with strong bass under $100
Quote: No problem, I see what you mean now. It's good that you display such curiosity, rather than to agree with the masses without research or proper experimentation. Indeed, the v2 is nowhere near close to crap as some make it out to be. I'll try to be more descriptive from now on...- shadowfox42

IEMs with strong bass under $100
Quote: Depends, may not be a significant difference on an low end source, but quite noticeable from my experience with my computer + amp. Of course I'm speaking in terms of overall quality, the Eterna v2 are still abundant with bass. Considering they're both about the same price, I...- shadowfox42

PFE or RE0
The re0s don't really lack bass quality, just quantity, which is my personal preference. It all comes down to your own sound signature. Also, keep in mind the re0 isn't exactly the most durable IEM.- shadowfox42

My re0's have just become defective after 4 months of use, only mine was the left earphone. Pity, but you get what you pay for. The Fischer Audio DBA-02 may be something to look into.- shadowfox42
