SONY IER-Z1R
I apologise if this has been covered in these 973 pages, but I haven’t come across a definitive answer in my search. I find the stock hybrid tips perfect for me in a large, both in sound and fit. But I can’t find original replacements anywhere, apart from a site in the UK that is charging over...- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
Well, I sent back the WM1AM2 to Sony UK, as I'd ordered a Japanese version. Arrived a few days ago. High gain option and no volume cap, of course, which is just wonderful. However, the performance issues are still there (so it wasn't that I had a bad'n). Trying to download around 10,800 Tidal...- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
This is useful. I have around 11,000 Tidal tunes I am trying to download to a 1TB Microsd card. Keeps crashing on the Wm1AM2. Have to continuously restart. I don’t know if I’m over-loading it or not. But I think my main point is that I never had anything like the same issues doing exactly the...- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
Thanks for the clarification. I think my point is, does the ZM2 have more of whatever affects the performance? I really don't know. Just wondering.- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
According to the specs on the Sony website the ZM2 has 256GB and AM2 has 128GB.- KevP

Another thought is that those few more positive comments seem to be for the ZM2 rather than the AM2 that I have. The ZM2 has double the RAM of the AM2, but not sure about the ROM. Can’t see anything in the specs.- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
Maybe I have a bad unit, but I’ve been buying and listening to DAPs for over 10 years. This has the jerky scrolling, flakey connection issues and overwhelmed processor feel of the Pioneers, Onkyos and Fiios I’ve had in the distant past. I was willing this to be good. I’m a Sony Signature fan...- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
My WM1AM2 arrived yesterday (the only one Sony had in the UK). I just happened to go one to their website at the right moment. After 24 hours I'm clearly not offering a comprehensive review, but I have some initial observations. It's a lovely thing to behold (and hold!). Feels quality all the...- KevP

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
I happened to go on to the Sony website in the UK today. And there was the Sorry, but this might make you feel... well... bad. I had decided to pay over the odds for a WM1AM2 on ebay from Japan and had an offer accepted today. I then for some mysterious reason decided to go on to the Sony UK...- KevP

Cayin C9: Dual Nutube, Fully Balanced Class A/AB Portable HeadAmp
Yes. Odins/C9 quite noisy with hiss and you can hear when volume knob is turned sometimes. Getting a longer infer-connect, so the player can be held further away from the C9, seems to help on some of the noise.- KevP

Burson Soloist 3X Performance Head/Pre Amp - 8Wpc XLR with MUSE72320 volume control
And then, presumably, you would need a DAC that could handle MQA (if you wanted to use Tidal Masters). I don’t think the Composer can do that. Right?- KevP

Burson Soloist 3X Performance Head/Pre Amp - 8Wpc XLR with MUSE72320 volume control
Thanks. Don’t want to veer away too much from the thread subject, but I’m ashamed to say I’m ignorant about how you access e.g. Tidal Masters on a streamer- KevP

Burson Soloist 3X Performance Head/Pre Amp - 8Wpc XLR with MUSE72320 volume control
I’m wondering about getting a cheaper DAP as a permanently connected transport but that can stream and store Tidal Masters and get the Composer or other good desktop DAC that will work well with the Soloist. But keep the R8 for time away from the desktop system.- KevP
