A "better" fuse holder (?)
Hi, Just a question that might look strange to a few but.... We have all lessoned to various persons having tested/reviewed/change the fuse , and report sonic differences (same for the cables). I wonder if a few of you have tried to use "better" fuse holders, or have tried to remove it (and...- Nounours18200

UpTone JS-2 versus Paul Hynes SR-7
Hi, I almost never ask a question like "what is the best" because I know how system-dependant the answer is... But after having search the web during hours , I did not get a clear viewpoint regarding these 2 well known LPS.... The Power supply will be used to power 2 devices: -an UpTone...- Nounours18200

Chord 2Qute : power supply upgrade
Sorry if it is a wrong forum (maybe a moderator could move it in the appropriate one...). I know that a 12V linear P.S. would be OK (I have already built a few of them), but i am looking for a recommendation based on your experience....- Nounours18200

Chord 2Qute : power supply upgrade
Hi, The Chord 2Qute DAC is bundled with a very basic power supply: a simple 12V Wall AC adapter that looks a bit crappy... What would be your recommandation regarding "the best external power supply" (that could be an accumulator...). Thank you very much for your replies,- Nounours18200

Service Manual Lite DAC-83
I do not have the Service Manual, and as Lite removed the reference of many parts, I assume that they do not want the skematics to be published... Maybe you can ask the websites dedicated to the Service Manuals : if it exists, it will not be costly. I am still interested by it if you...- Nounours18200

Sennheiser HD 700: Officially Unveiled at CES 2012!
The review said that the HD-700 tends to have a risk of sibilance.... this is a problem for me, that could keep me far from the HD-700... Currently I have a HD-600, I will try to get more info on the Audeze ...- Nounours18200

Lite Dac-83 versus Audio GD Ref 7,8,9
I am in the process of choosing between the Lite 83 and the AudioGD Ref 7, but unfortunately I have no way to compare them. ---> Is there a more precise opinion on which one is the best, assuming that we all know that they are 2 excellent DACs ?? ---> I am looking for a photography...- Nounours18200

Stunning RKV MKII mod experience
I did find the dedicated topic related to the OPA627 / OPA637 installation in the RKV. The people who tried this upgrade confirm that it is necessary to add a 68pF capacitor on the OPA637 to ensure stability, but the sonic improvement seems outstanding ... Quote: I planned to...- Nounours18200

Stunning RKV MKII mod experience
Quote: I am going to perform this upgrade on my RKV-II as well, and found the OPA627BP on eBay for 15$, but...following your remark I prefer to buy from a reliable source like FARNELL for example: 30€ each, but I am sure of what I get.... I will do the upgrade with the OPA637BP ...- Nounours18200

op amps upgrade on a RKV-II
As a few of you have done in the past, I plan to try to upgrade the LF351N op amps of my Audiovalve RKV-II by better op amps, such as the suggested OPA627. I would like to know if I can simply replace the LF351N by the OPA627, or if there is some particulars points to check , based on your...- Nounours18200

AudioValve RKV II - Does Anyone Still Own One?
You are right ! I bought mine around 850€ some years ago... That's for sure... We should start a back-engineering process to define the skematics of the amplifier, and it would be far less costly to build it as a DIY headphone amp... There is not enough parts to make this back...- Nounours18200
