Hi,   There is a channel balance issue with my JH-16 and I want to send it back to JHAudio for repairs.   I live in the UK, I wonder how I can send the parcel and have it go through the US customs without tax, since it has been built in the US

I have not read everything since the project is back on, but so far it seems very good. Is the digital out still planned to be a 3.5mm jack (not optical)?  

The Left and Right connections are the same for a 3 poles and 4 poles. In a 4 poles the Ground is splited with another connection, the SPDIF in our case. That is why you cannot use a 3 pole to send the digital signal.

Are they reusing the internal earpiece components?

With a digital interconnect you bypass a DAC (i.e in the 801) and a ADC (in the JH-3A). Of course if both the DAC and the ADC are very good, the difference shoud be minimal.

In its posts 4 days ago, ClieOS told FiiO can only wait for the controller manufacturer, both for the chipsets supply and for the SDXC support question. No OGG support. Other details in post #1. However I don't think we have the final dimensions.

So that means all the design and functionalities are now finished? Any idea about the support of SDXC cards? (There is an assumption in the first post, but nothing official)

Is the original 727 flawed and it is better to buy a second hand 717, or the 717 has the same issue ?

What is improved with that mod? From the information I found it improves the basses and the gain, anything else? How much better is it, do we get something like Stax SRM-727 mod > 717 > 727 ? I am also interested in any docs and pics to see how difficult it is.
