Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Thats an interesting option. I used to have the Jabra 65t which was awesome from a comfort perspective, it just didn't sound very good. Svanar LE is definitely an option for me, I'm not a huge fan of the look of them, but whatever.. The case also seems pretty big and bulky for pocket carry...- Chapbass

Yeah i forgot to mention that part, I'm on a Pixel 6 pro, probably moving to P8 pro soon, and I don't use Apple products at all (and won't be in the future).- Chapbass

You sure on no ambient mode on mystique? I thought that they had ambient but not ANC? EDIT: yeah, mystique has ambient: The FoKus Mystique also features improved microphone placement compared to the FoKus Pro with the microphone being placed on the faceplate rather than the side of the shell...- Chapbass

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Hey thanks for the reply! Calls will definitely happen, but it'll be typically in an office environment in a quiet room, and definitely secondary to music/audiobook listening. I didn't have multipoint for a long time on my sonys, and honestly it wasn't a big deal. Once i got it, i used it, but...- Chapbass

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Hey all, I've been out of the headphone game (at least the shopping/researching part) for a few years now, hoping I could get some advice here (if you think it would be better to just start a new thread, LMK). Pre-pandemic I was using wired IEMs for my commute as I would end up at a desk all...- Chapbass

Awesome, thanks @kubig123 and @Deezel177 , thats exactly the information I was hoping to get when I asked. I'll definitely get the 2pin recessed with mic. My main listening source will be PC USB -> Chord Mojo, but during commutes right now it'll just be my phone (Motorola Droid Turbo 2 atm...- Chapbass

Okay, I think I have my design for the FB all set....but I have no idea on the pros / cons on the different connector types. Is there a most popular/common option? What are advantages to recessed vs not recessed? Anyone have any experiences with the mic? Do most people get aftermarket cables...- Chapbass

Oof, just read the reviews from Deezel...yep, thinking FIBAE black based on this line: "Besides being a tad brighter in tone, the FIBAE 3 has crisper transients and thinner notes. This is because of its upper-treble lift and its subdued mid-bass. The prototype has a much fuller, richer low-end...- Chapbass

Actually before pulling the trigger I will ask my same question one more time now that the blacks are out (just to be 100% sure): As someone who has only tested the music one, music two, and ei3, and thought that the music one was pretty good, the music two was awesome (and improved on the one...- Chapbass

Man, these FIBAE Blacks are what I've been waiting for I think. I've posted here a few times and haven't been able to pull the trigger, but these new ones seem right up my alley...and my bonus check comes next week :). I'll be placing an order in a few days! Congrats on what looks like an...- Chapbass

Alright, so I still haven't made my first CIEM purchase, despite posting on this page that I would like a year ago. That said, I'm still planning on it, and now I see that the FIBAE massdrop is out. I went to e-earphone last year, tried out the music one, music two, and ei.3 I thought I was...- Chapbass

Just got back from e-earphone. Purchased a 2nd hand chord mojo for $350 usd. Loved it. Have some static when plugged into my phone, but none from an AK DAP, so I'm hoping a decent cable will clean that up. They confirmed they do not have fibae1 or 2. Tried out the ei.3 and music two a ton...- Chapbass

Hey piotr, I'm heading back to e-earphone in akihabara tomorrow (it's 2am here, so really in like 10 hours). How confident are you that they have FIBAE line? I didn't see them in the store or on their website, but I'll ask around. I also think I've decided to go with a dac/amp combo instead...- Chapbass

Hey everyone, thanks for the responses. So I went there yesterday instead of today, though I didn't have as much time as I wanted. Tried several iems from several companies. I didn't see the fibae 1 or 2 anywhere, but I might go back tomorrow evening ad see if I can find them. I've...- Chapbass

Hi everyone, long time lurker here looking to get into my first set of ciems, could use some help. First, a little about me: I'm a musician hobbyist (bass guitar, Chapman stick, double bass), but work in IT during the day. Gwangcho, I hope you dont mind me doing a small bit of thread hijacking, I'm in a similar situation. I just bought a new pair of Sennheiser HD650's, and I'm looking for 1-2 amps to pair with it. I was considering the e7+e9 combo as well, heres my situation: I mainly listen to...- Chapbass
