^^ Decent idea, but I would get far less than face value if I sold it. I sold a $500 cabelas gift card for $405- almost a $100 loss.

Open Headphones work great outside- unless it's windy. It's none of your business what other people think of your headphones, so just do what you feel is best.

When you buy off Ebay, you can usually expect imitation headphones, and you have little chance of getting a refund aswell.   Edit:  Sorry, didn't mean to bump :(
