So, did any of you make your own Balanced Cable? Any recomendations of a good cable i can pick up on Ebay for a DIY? I do have a copper cable from Custom Cans, but i also want a silver one, and id rather save some cash on a DIY project.- HK_Xclio

The CF headband should ligthen them a littlebit atleast, I am thinking about buying a CF headband. The weight on the LCD-X is bothering me a littlebit since i also use them when i play games, but i do noticed that they feel just a tad lighter with my new cables. Might be due to the soft and...- HK_Xclio

What headband did they have? I know that the old flatband is allot better than the new lumpy one, when it comes to feeling the weight on the headphones. This is the reason i picked up the Creators Edition LCD-X, they are cheaper and come with the flat headband.- HK_Xclio

recieved my cable from Custom Cans today, the quality seems very good as a first impression. The cable is very soft and flexible. Sadly, they shipped me the wrong colour combination. (seems like my photos did not upload)- HK_Xclio

When it comes to cables, it is kind of black and white to me. There is silver and copper, and those are the only differences i can tell appart when listening. Whats important to me is flexibility, overall quality, and that its not too heavy. Since i live in a country where these cables needs...- HK_Xclio

I dont find them to be very dark. But they are not the brightest headphones. Alltough, with the 789 i feel like they penetrate my eardrums with treble. I bought a 789 to test, but i had to EQ the crap out of them with this amp if i wanted to pump the volume a bit.- HK_Xclio

I think i should do some more research on the 28.38, it sounds like i would like it. May i ask what kind of music you listen to? I listen to allot of electronic music, House, Dubstep. That is why it is important for me to have impact and fullness all over the line. Ofc i do listen to all...- HK_Xclio

Thx, ye i guess 2w at 32ohm would be more than enough. Would you say that the 28.38 keeps the details in the trebble even if it holds it back a littlebit? And do you use the built in dac?- HK_Xclio

I might be able to try a V200 before actually deciding to buy it. But i cant find much information about its output power. The 28.38 is probably the first amp i was looking at, but it is going to cost me allot since companies stopped taking them into the country many years ago. So i would need...- HK_Xclio

Then it looks like i wont be buying a 789. I like bodied sound, with bass that i can actually feel. Sub and midbass is what i want. i dont want to go trough the pain of 10 and 20 trials and errors, and i was lucky that the shop i ordered the jot from would let me test it before returning it...- HK_Xclio

Could you try to explain the sound with the 789 on the x's? Ive been looking to buy an enog2 and a 789, but all the reviews ive seen explains that it can be quite harsh on some cans. i also tried the Jot multibit, and its realy a horrible combo in my ears. Quite booring is probably a good way...- HK_Xclio

Is there any other cheaper Dac's you guys can recomend, that i can use with the jot for example? I could buy it without a dac. The thing is, i need a USB dac, and it will only be used on my pc.- HK_Xclio

I wont be hitting a winner with the Sony unfortunatly, it lacks mid's when it comes to vocals. There is a huge gap in the soundstage. But thanks for all the replies and opinions, i will see if i can get to hear the HD800s and compare them myself. I guess you cant get everything you want from 1...- HK_Xclio

ill take a look, ty.. But, lets compare bass. has anyone of you heard Sony Mdr-z7? I like the bass in those, but i dont like the soundstage. Are the Hd800s even comparable to those, when it comes to bass.- HK_Xclio

Hello. I am going to buy a new pair of headphones, and i have been looking at the HD800S or the LCD2C. And my questions are simple, are the DB levels on the HD800s sufficient? I do like to pump up the volume sometimes, for that perfect song. And i love bass. Will they kneel and sound like...- HK_Xclio

Looks nice too, what about the Little Dot mkII and the mkIII. A bit more expensive, but there is a chance i would get another set of Grados later on. A bigger modell, but i havent decided yet..
