How not to Clean your Westone 3s

I once had a pair of Sennheiser CX500s that were dead in one ear   Accidentally put them in the wash, and after that they worked perfectly for months

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

couldn't be bothered looking around any more, ordered some CX870s from Amazon (direct)   Gonna keep checking though so I'll probably go for some Turbines or maybe even the IE8s if I see some good offers!   thanks for posting everyone

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

hi, sorry to keep bumping this thread, but I've been reading bad reviews about the CX880s, so looks like I'll be going for the Monster Turbines. Is the site I posted above the best site to get genuine Monster earphones in the UK?   thanks

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

okay, thanks again for all of the replies   going by what's been said, it's between the CX880s and the Monster Turbines   I like the look of the CX880s, the Turbines little round ear buds look like they could be uncomfortable, and I've read that a lot of people find them uncomfortable...

ahh, you've thrown another pair of earphones into the mix now they have them for £35 in Tesco too   and I just downloaded PowerAMP music player for my phone which has an EQ built-in (pretty good one too, even though it was tested with my broken CX400s lol)

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

okay, little update (and bump to first page)   it's now between Sennheiser CX880, Monster Turbines and Head-Direct RE0s...   leaning towards the RE0s, but supposedly the Turbines have better bass (but not sure how much). I'd like to stay with Sennheiser though, plus they look the best...

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

Hi, thanks for the replies   I'm interested in the CX880s that were mentioned, as all I can see is the CX300 IIs and occasionally CX400 IIs (but seem to be out of stock everywhere) and I don't want to buy from Play/Amazon due to possible fakes (Play and Amazon themselves don't have any in...

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

thanks for the replies   I've had my eye out for a while, but haven't really seen anything. I've just been looking for CX400s though as they were my favourites.   The problem is, my CX400s are now completely busted. Only one ear gets sound, and it's so quiet on full volume on my phone I...

    Can't justify spending £200 on some IE8s...

Okay, so my first decent pair of earphones were the CX300s, and I loved them (and bought 2 more pairs when they broke). I then got the CX500s and more recently had the CX400 IIs, so I'm a big fan of Sennheiser (well, mostly this but mostly not wanting to try anything else as I feel like you just...

Question about IE7s (wear them as normal earphones as opposed to over the top?)

yeah I just had another look and thought that. it must have been IE8s   twice as expensive though :(   I might just get another pair of CX400 IIs or CX 500s   what's the best genuine place to get them in the UK?

Question about IE7s (wear them as normal earphones as opposed to over the top?)

thanks for the reply tinyman   I'm sure I read ages ago that you can wear them down but you have to wear the earpieces in the opposite ears. Just want to make sure before I buy some

Question about IE7s (wear them as normal earphones as opposed to over the top?)

Same as the title basically   I know you're supposed to wear them over your ear, but I don't like that. How are they being warn as normal earphones? Is the curve bit part of the earphones or can it be removed?   Also, where is the cheapest genuine place to get them in the UK?   Thanks

I just fixed my Sennheiser earphones by washing them?

Tonight I finally remembered to put my old CX500s in the wash, and incredibly...they're now working fine as well   At first they were the same (quiet in the right-ear) so I thought "oh well, as long as I haven't broken them", but I just noticed the jack wasn't in 100% and they're working...

I just fixed my Sennheiser earphones by washing them?

Yeah, cleaning them makes more sense than knocking a wire into place, haha   Still working after 24 hours. think I will try with my CX500s.

I just fixed my Sennheiser earphones by washing them?

So, I have some Sennheiser CX400 II Precisions, and the right earpiece died (as have the last 3 or 4 pairs I had)   I spoke to Play.com who said to return them and they would refund the money.   Anyway, I accidentally left them in the pocket of my jeans, so they've just been washed...

Both are now £18.99 if anyone's interested!   The white CX 400s though (which I ended up ordering)   http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/8116316/Sennheiser-CX-400-Mark-II-Precision-Headphones/Product.html   Can't go wrong for that price!

Sennheiser CX 400 Mark II Precision or AKG K 319?

sorry for the late reply. I did check out your reply Mark, and those earphones look really good but I'm now leaning over towards the CX400s again   thanks for the reply emti, do you know if the CX400 II are any better than the normal CX400 (or the CX500)?

Sennheiser CX 400 Mark II Precision or AKG K 319?

Thanks for the reply   Are the Jazz earphones specifically for jazz? I have a wide range of music (although 85% is hip hop, and there's rock, pop, drum & bass, electro, etc.. but I have no jazz)   I like a bassy sound but not too heavy. I found this, but I'm not sure what it means. Is...

Sennheiser CX 400 Mark II Precision or AKG K 319?

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think many people would have the AKG (I've never heard of them, although I'm not really knowledgeable about this stuff) I'm more interested in whether the CX 400 Mark IIs are any different (or any Mark II range)   Which alternatives would you suggest? I'm...

Had 3 pairs of Sennheisers, want to get some Shures...

The last 3 pairs of headphones I had have been Sennheisers (CX300s twice, then CX500s) and now I want some new ones, but I want to get some Shures instead, as I've heard good things about them, and I tried some at a friends (can't remember the model now), and they sounded great.   I...
