I tried connect my pk1 and a pk2 borrowed from a friend directly out of my iPod 5.5G, the pk1 still sound great, just maybe somehow overkilled using this earphone on an iphone unamped. but it sounds far better with an amp. I think pk2 is good enough if unamped

Thanks for the pics and the description for the recabling work. I wanted to do it a while ago, but I had Yuin change for me when I went to China. You article certain is a good guide for me if I want to do the recabling for my earphone in the future.

I find it sound better without foam, but using the donut ones seem to be better in isolation.

Any information about when the iBasso desktop amp come out? it's been 6 month since the start of this post
