Should I get the Comply eartips for my Etymotic HF-5?

I am more satisfied with the Comply P-series. Can't find the TX-100 from local dealers.

Should I get the Comply eartips for my Etymotic HF-5?

Yes but I felt pain. Also, the sound isolation seems to be not as good as the Compny P-series.

What is the point of buying a new earphone if the earip is the most important factor for isolation?

The pair of tri-flange in the bag is of larger size than the pair pre-installed on the HF-5.   I am not sure if my expectation is too high. When people say that they don't hear outside noise, do they also not hear public announcements in the subway?

What is the point of buying a new earphone if the earip is the most important factor for isolation?

Few years ago, I bough the Shure 115SE. It was quite good at sound isolation but sometimes I felt pain wearing it for a long time. Also, I could hear people talking loudly. After checking many review, I read that the Etymotic is the best for sound isolation. Some people mentioned that while...

Should I get the Comply eartips for my Etymotic HF-5?

First I inserted at an angle while twisting. Then, pushed straight in.

Should I get the Comply eartips for my Etymotic HF-5?

Yes. I am talking about the grey triple flanges.   What caused the pain? If I continued to push hard into my ears, will I damage my ears?   I had something like the middle one in the photo on my Shure 115. Compared with cheap headphones, it was good for sound isolation but I could hear...

Should I get the Comply eartips for my Etymotic HF-5?

Hello, I bough the HF-5 today. I tried the Tri-Flange Tips which came pre-install on the headphone. While the right side had no problem, I had difficulty in keeping the left side one from falling. It seems that the stock eartip on the right fits my ear better than that on the left. I also heard...

Which headphone is the best to remove noise from the traffic and birds? Can Bose QC-20i do it?

Thanks for sharing your experience.  I am also considering the Etymotic ER4-PT and HF. Since there is no perfect solution to blocking human voice and music, I guess I should buy the Etymotic first. When the around-ear version of the QC20 comes out, wear it with the Etymotic. That way, I get both...

Which headphone is the best to remove noise from the traffic and birds? Can Bose QC-20i do it?

Can anybody please test  the QC20 in Starbucks for me? Do you hear the background music? Do you hear people talking? Do you hear sounds from the iPad? People in my city likes to turn their iPad to very high volume and watch movies/play games. Thanks.

Which headphone is the best to remove noise from the traffic and birds? Can Bose QC-20i do it?

I was surprised when I read reviews by some users. Perhaps I set a too high standard. The QC20 is good at removing certain types of noises. However, it is not good at removing human voice which is my main purpose of buying a new earphone.

Which headphone is the best to remove noise from the traffic and birds? Can Bose QC-20i do it?

Thanks. I have tried the QC20 many times in different stores. I am not satisfied with the noise cancellation. I could hear people talking near me. I think if they make a headphone version of the QC20, the sound isolation will be better. Heard anything about such possible device?

    Which Etymotics for me?

Thanks. The problem is that local stores do not allow me to try. The reputable company only have the HF5 and the ER4-PT. I know nothing about sound sig, dap, losless, bass, etc. Even the sounds from the Shure SE115 are ok with me. That is why I wonder if it will make a difference to get the more...

    Which Etymotics for me?

I have two choices: HF-5 or the ER4-PT. I am not an audiophile. Will I be able to tell the difference in sound quality between the two? In my city, the ER4-PT is twice the cost as the HF-5. Is it worth to get the ER4-PT?

    Which Etymotics for me?

Could you please provide a link about such extension?   Could anybody please clarify the following confusions?   I have read a lot of reviews. We know that the HF2 is for Android phones while the HF3 is for iPhone and iPad. However, in two reviews, they mentioned that the HF2 is for iPhone...

    Which Etymotics for me?

Is there an adapter that could add volume control and mic to the ER4-PT for different devices (e.g. Mac laptops, Windows laptops, PC, Galaxy Note 2/3)? That is the ER4 version that is available in local stores.

    Which Etymotics for me?

Will the -2 version also work on laptop computers such as the MacBook Pro?   If I take the volumne control/mic out of the equation, do all HF-2/3/5 an dER-4PT work on all devices (Galaxy Note 2/3, MacBook Pro, etc.)?

Thanks. Anybody knows which model could be used with both MacBook Pro and a Samsung Galaxy Note 2/3?

    Which Etymotics for me?

What are the replaceable cables for the ER4 for? From the photo on the company website, it looks like the ER4-PT has more eartips than the HS-3/5.   I have a MacBook Pro and a Samsung Galaxy Note. Hope to find one that could be used with both devices.

    Which Etymotics for me?

Thanks. For the HF2, it works for Samsung phone. What about the MacBook Pro or normal desktop computer? Besides the control, is the HF2 the same as the HF3 and 5?

    Which Etymotics for me?

Hello, I am a Shure SE 115 user. It is quite good but I am looking for a device that is better at sound isolation (ideal if it could block out loud people conversation when there is no music playing). I am torn between the HF-3, HF-5 and ER-4PT. Could you please help me to decide?   1. I heard...

Could Bose QC20/20i users please do these tests for me?

Hello, my room is in general quiet but depending on the time of the day, sometimes I hear continuous traffic passing by often and birds singing.   Could you please let me know the following:   1. With sound isolation on and no music, do you hear noise from the traffic? 2. With sound...

Do in-ear earphones cause damage to ears?

Thanks. It seems that IEM is safe "if used correctly". I guess whether or not I will be able to use it correctly is the point.

Do in-ear earphones cause damage to ears?

Hello, I am trying to decide between the Bose QC20i and the Etymotic (HF-5 or ER4PT). We all know that the Bose cannot block all the noises such as conversations while the Etymotic can do a better job, some feel uncomfortable with the plugs. Do in-ear earphones such as the Etymotic cause damage...
