I just bought a pair of each off of ebay and am anxiously waiting for their arrival. What are your thoughts? Does one noticeably outperform the other?

I have a pair of Denon C700's that I've had for about a year, year and a half. Unfortunately one of the headphones continually cuts in and out unless I have the wire angled in a particular way which is completely impractical. Is there a way to fix these myself?
