The Eminent Ears Appreciation & Impressions Thread - starting with The Ruby
So the Ruby has just hit past the 100 hr burn-in mark. Giving it a listen today (after my recovering from my flu) and this IEM continues to impress. Listening to an orchestral soundtrack piece, Somewhere in Time, and I find myself totally immersed together with the whole orchestra. It doesn't...- AnakChan

Congrats! You have a different pair of cables from mine. I take it that you switched from stock? Mine's just passed a 100 hr burn-in. Been listening to it meanwhile naturally.- AnakChan

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Just realised I hadn't shared the Eminent Ears Ruby here yet! More info about it in my sig. But let's just say that if you've not kept up with IEMs in the past few years, the Ruby along with some of the others I heard in CanJam Singapore blew my mind.- AnakChan

The Eminent Ears Appreciation & Impressions Thread - starting with The Ruby
In a few hours I would have had about 3 days burn in which should be more than enough. i've been listening off 'n on but today I've been little sick with nasal congestion so not a good day to be listening. However in previous days the IEM has continued to impress. It has a laid back signature...- AnakChan

CanJam Shanghai 2024 Impressions Thread
Was it confirmed that the Fugaku actually made a show in CJSh or was it just assumed it'll be there? I'm asking a genuine question here. Not making a challenging statement.- AnakChan

The Watercooler -- Impressions, philosophical discussion and general banter. Index on first page. All welcome.
As above, I've created a separate/dedicated thread for the Eminent Ears Ruby for more deeper appreciation/impressions. Other folks (@Crazeee @gadgetgod) feel free to put up your more full fledged impressions there :D- AnakChan

The discovery thread!
I've created a separate Eminent Ears Ruby thread as I think it probably deserves its own section on more comprehensive impressions/thoughts, etc. Naturally other Ruby owners/reviewers are more than welcome to add your thoughts there. Cheers!- AnakChan

The Eminent Ears Appreciation & Impressions Thread - starting with The Ruby
Kicking off a new thread for the Eminent Ears brand who's just debut their Ruby IEMs. They have kindly sent me a review pair which I received only yesterday which I'll be doing in the upcoming days but burning it in meanwhile. I first came across Eminent Ears in CanJam Singapore 2024 whilst...- AnakChan

Hahaha! It's been quite a long while, hasn't it ? So glad to be back! Looking forward to hear your thoughts too. I don't have any current model baselines, so my comparisons are going to have to have to be with the former ToTLs of the yesteryears. So far just in the past few hours of...- AnakChan

That's interesting. I only had a brief listen to the Canpur CP622B at CJSG and I didn't detect the veil-ness. In fact for my tastes, I felt it was a little too peaky for my tastes (based on the the notes I wrote back in CJSG). To my ears it had a huge bass rumble yet articulate and detailed, at...- AnakChan

[Mod hat on] That's enough off topic posts. Not only for @droid23 but for others who are insistent in replying to this line of topic in this thread. If this continues I'm going to start locking folks out of this thread. Let's get back on topic. [/Mod hat off]- AnakChan

Woo Audio WA11 Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Cheers. Yes looking at the manual, it likes USB2.0 (despite the USB-C connector). I guess I have to use the Satechi Pro Hub Mini with it all the time. Aside from full speeker-level amps, the WA11 is the only portable/desktop-level device I've got that can drive the Susvara. Actually I've always...- AnakChan

Woo Audio WA11 Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Probably the first time in years, I pulled out my WA11 to give my Susvara a listen. Possibly I've been out of audio game for a little too long but it seems I can't use USB-C-USB-C cables between the MacBook Pro the WA11? I had to put in a Satechi Pro Hub Mini in between for the Mac to recognise...- AnakChan

HiFiMan Susvara
That's interesting, why would you advise against using the HE-Adapter? I've been outta headphone game in awhile so I've not caught up of any "gotchas" about it in the past 5 yrs. I used to drive the Susvara with my MC275 via the HE-Adapter.- AnakChan
