Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
The MSR7 is at Yodobashi camera now...I have mixed feelings. They sound great, but they don't wow me. I also didn't like the Twix-like headband or the thin plastic holding the sliders in place.- PFULMTL

SRH-940 Driver Transplant Time
check out Takstar Pro80 is you want headphones with larger oval earcups kinda cheap. I have used Philips Oneil Stretch for transplants four times already. The best mix of durable parts.- PFULMTL

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)
Anyone have good examples of big room + trap fuzed together in a good way? Many tracks out there always finish off the last quater of the track by just switching to trap instead of mixing in elements throughout the whole track. Example -

Lets Talk Metal
I was somehow reminded of synth-metal when I came across an old Blood Stain Child song and been listening to The Unguided all day. I used to listen to this stuff in my younger years. Didn't think synth-metal was still around. It's very different metal than what I listen to normally. -

Lets Talk Metal
Found this band today: Pomigranite Tiger. It's similar to Animals As Leaders, but maybe a little harder. Here is an 11 minute track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=819iuEDbXss&feature=youtube_gdata_player -
Lets Talk Metal
I definitely miss As Blood Runs Black. Always looking for another album like that which makes me want to do flips. Her Name In Blood was good too. Lots of energy. Then they turned into a hard rock band... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80QKG4L5R84&feature=youtube_gdata_player -

Master & Dynamic MH40 Over Ear Headphone
After seeing it worn,I gotta say that I hate the way it looks now. It looks like a microphone pop filter on your ear, and it doesn't really make sense for a closed headphone. The mesh does nothing and adds extra weight. The smaller on ear model looks better.- PFULMTL

JDS Labs C5/C5D (pg96) portable amp/amp+DAC
This is my portable setup that I bring with my laptop. I need the tablet for work to multitask, and don't even bother bringing my phone. Don't want to use the laptop for music since it lasts less than 5 hours. The DAC sounds much better this way than when plugged into the laptop or even...- PFULMTL

Plug it into another available USB port. I had that problem when plugged into the rear, but it is gone when plugged into the side port.- PFULMTL

Japan is the headphone paradise, and here's the proof
I'll be back in Japan for a third time. Looking forward to hearing new 2014 gear and keeping up to date. It feels like I'm actually saving money and time by not buying headphones and returning them. Unfortunetly, plane ticket prices really go up $100 every year :(- PFULMTL

I feel like an idiot, for saying Shure was a good company.
Should have said Shure SRH440+840 pads because that is a very durable housing and sounds great.- PFULMTL

Shure SRH1540 Review
Ah, so I wasn't crazy. I thought the 1540 had boomy bass on first listen too (which is unexpected for a Shure headphone), but I did have the volume up because I was in a loud electronics store. I use the SRH940 daily, and although the 1540 will still be my next purchase, something didn't...- PFULMTL
