Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable
Got this cherry wood headshell for $66 from Japan. And it has adjustable azimuth! It's almost exactly the same mass as this 'table's stock aluminum headshell but the nagaoka mp-150 sounds noticeably different mounted on it compared to the stock one. I like wood 🤪- theeclone

Finally got this in the mail! Soundin real good with the nagaoka mp-150 through the Skoll. No need to engage the Lokius. Speaking of wood, I've been consistently really liking what wood headshells are doing for me on this 'table. Got a cherry wood Yamamoto with adjustable azimuth shipped from...- theeclone

Plenty of life left in that old guy! Plus I have a pcie to nvme adaptor on the way 🙂 Barely putting a dent in the cpu so far, with lots of plugins. No buffer underruns, no crashes. Loving it!- theeclone

Ok not really a head-fi station but I'm having lots of fun with the holo spring2 and ubuntu studio. Looking forward to cancelling my subscription for the DAW that shall not be named 🙂 Got a fanless gpu and a very quiet cpu cooler and psu.- theeclone

It's been a while but I remember liking the Sylvania 6SN7GTA tubes from the 50s. I believe they can still he had for ~$50 each testing NOS. There are a lot of them that were rebranded but still sounded great to me. Some say "Delco" on the base. I believe they all have the stop sign logo on top.- theeclone

@bcowen Found it if you want the link. I've been tempted myself. I will say that there was something about the hana el that didn't quite do it for me in the long run. Maybe a tad clinical to my ears.- theeclone

Aw bummer, I don't have that one. Back in my DJing days when I would get a request it was usually to turn it down 😄 If you already own the album and are just looking for a rip of it, you could try Soulseek. Lots of vinyl rips on there.- theeclone

Back on my bullschiit. Another vinyl mix for Mother's Day. This time straight from the Skoll/Lokius stack into a Korg master recorder at double rate DSD (dsd128), then converted to 24 bit, 176.4K PCM using my own conversion software and filters (soon to be released free & open source). Thanks. Yeah and it's totally fine if some people enjoy listening to that dialect. For me, growing up in the 80s, Steely Dan was part of my culture. FM radio was on all the time and they were ever present, including a lot of their stuff from the 70's. Those earlier tracks felt more like an...- theeclone

I'm particularly fond of this story. It was the...- theeclone

Yeah I have another of those headshells and the azimuth on it is way off. I may be throwing it away it's so bad. It may be a bit off on the one pictured w the DL-103, but it sounds reeallly good. I think maybe the 103 is pretty forgiving in terms of vertical alignment and azimuth. Also a lot of...- theeclone
