I was looking at soundmagic PL30 or E30 - i like the look, i like the over-the-ear way they are worn, and i like the red/blue bits, helps easily confused peeps like me tell left from right ;)

Hi. Some might remember me. I'm the very picky lady from the UK who settled happily on Bose AE2 for specifically comfort reasons.  (and they sound great after burn-in).   I'm looking for some IEMs to replace the ones that came with my phone. Just something for the school run, for my tablet...

FREE GIVEAWAY: Sound Magic E30 [read rules inside]

...whilst doing the school run / sitting in the library waiting on the kids, cos the ones i use (the ones that came with it) are terrible.   I own one pair of Bose AE2s, which tookme a long time to arrive at, and i spent far too much money on (£119), but i needed the *comfort* more than...

Head-Fi mentioned in New York Times article about headphones!

Sorry, but this audiophile loves my Bose AE2, because of COMFORT more than anything else.   And anyone who says they have no bass needs to come try mine. Put on Moves Like Jagger and you'll see, they have *plenty* of bass. Its *amazing* what burn-in can do.

so burn in is really real, and not just a myth?   i just cleaned the leather with leather balm we use on our sofas. Is that sad?   i am rather ashamed to admit they were actually dirty from sweat!

...I cannot believe how much more bass there is than when i first bought them.   Not that i felt the bass was low, but it was perhaps a bit, understated maybe? Now it feels leveled out, even across the board, very smooth and laid back but at the same time very much *present and correct* iykwim.
