SAmsung galaxy note 2
I'm using a RSA Predator (old, I know, but still good right?) with my Note 2 via USB OTG, and I'm still hearing HISS with my Westone 3's. Of course, when the music plays, the hiss is less noticeable, but during quieter pieces, I can tell it's still here. Is there some setting in Android that I...- robojack

Need a player with LO capabilities to use with my Predator amp
I don't think I need a true LO, just one that's more genuine than my psuedo-LO HP D2 output. That being said, I will probably consider the iPod Touch. Question now is, which generation should I be looking for, 2nd or 3rd gen?- robojack

Need a player with LO capabilities to use with my Predator amp
Looks like I've got slim pickings at this point, judging from the lack of other suggestions. Or should I just get a ipod Touch, and use a line-out cable with that?- robojack

Need a player with LO capabilities to use with my Predator amp
Been out of the audiophile scene for awhile, and I've been using my Cowon D2 in conjunction with a RSA Predator amp and Westone 3's. Love the combination, but I'm thinking of getting a new player that has actual line-out capabilities (to use with my RSA Predator), as well as SD/microSD card...- robojack

Westone UM3X Thread
I'm hearing some buzz about the UM3X's having a better a fit than the W3s. If this is the case, what is it that creates a better fit in the UM3X? Don't the two use the same audio tube design?- robojack

Headphone Sightings 2
Saw a pair of Westone 3's today, and...oh wait, turns out I was looking at myself from a reflective surface! Seriously, I've seen another pair of Westone 3's on the bus on the way to work, but as usual, in the mornings, I'm too tired to strike up conversations with people (not a morning...- robojack

I don't think so. Static electricity is a usually pretty weak, so I doubt it'll anything other than deafen you with the occasional loud snaps.- robojack

UM56 Customs - Should I get now, or after wisdom tooth removal surgery?
Thanks, everyone. I'll check with Westone, and see what they say about this. Perhaps they already have policies in place for this sort of situation.- robojack

UM56 Customs - Should I get now, or after wisdom tooth removal surgery?
Got an audio-related question, that also relates to wisdoms: Has anyone had their ear canals change shape after wisdom surgery (see how close the wisdoms are to the ears)? My wisdom removal surgery is in 2 months, would there be a difference if I get the UM56 ear tips made right now, or should I...- robojack

URGENT: Questions about pulling wisdom teeth
Got an audio-related question, that also relates to wisdoms: My wisdom removal surgery is in 2 months, is it a good idea to get custom IEM ear molds made right now, or should I wait until after the surgery? Ultrasone HFI-780 replacement earpads
I have to attest that this mod works WONDERS. I used to sweat like crazy when wearing the 780s for more than 30 minutes. Now, I can wear them for several hours, and barely feel any heat buildup. Also, the velour makes the 780s much more comfortable and lush to wear.- robojack

Ableplanet Noise Isolating Earphones?
These LOOK like ripoffs of Bose's QC2 headphones (Bose QuietComfort 2 Headphones). They might sound better than the Bose QC's, but that's not really saying much, is it? I wouldn't go for them, honestly.- robojack

The most audiophilic player
I know who you are referring to when you said that someone said that the D2 isn't good at anything. I can also tell you, that he is very much in the minority when it comes to this opinion. It may some weaknesses, but overall, it is quite a superior player, especially with its incredibly clean...- robojack

I'm in a similar predicament here, since my dentist tells me my 4 wisdoms need to go. I'm 26.
