I owned the Mobius for some time and never ever got to really like it. Preferred to game with either the HD660S or the Game One headset. Btw, so far I think that the HD620S is a keeper for me. Works well out of all my mobile devices and my PCs. I actually wonder why it too Sennheiser so long...

Got mine delivered 30 min ago. The look and feel is awesome "sehr wertig" in German. Had no time to listen though.

Stock pads and stock cables over here... Run for cover now....lol.

You could also just use the supplied original Sennheiser pads, they are absolutely part of the sound design. It also safes some money.

I drive my HD660S on my gaming PC from a Creative Super X-Fi dongle. It can also be used from Smartphones/Tablets. It is definetly powerfull enough. Will also use it for the HD620S. Bigger amps are always the better choice, but not alway super convenient.

I do not exspect the HD620S to be a bass cannon, more a overall pleasing closed Allrounder. But maybe with some eq you can convert it to your specific liking. Will find out soon.

Electronic music has a bloated midbass, that is exactly how it should sound IMHO.

There is no dip, all frequencies are exactly how the Sennheiser Wizzards planned them to be.

Even though I never had a listen on the ie600, I would go for the IE900 if you can afford it. To me it is perfect from bass to treble. I got mine at release and I am always eager to put them on ever since the first day.

I like the earhooks, have zero complaints about them. But the sound is even more to my liking.

I run them like all my headphones from the Sony NW-WM1A. I cannot call the DAP underpowered. High gain 78% volume. But depending on the condition your ears are in ymmv.

You might want to check out Forzaaudio Noir Hybrid HPC, it is a bit more expensive, but very well made. I have it since the HD660S came out. I love the cable.

I can agree with you on the build quality of the DT1990 pro. But they have two gripes for me, the round earcups are to small for my ears and they sound to uneven compared to the HD6XX series.

I run it from my Sony WM-1A. pPerfect match. Balanced 4.4mm out.
