Onkyo DP-S1 Rubato / Pioneer XDP-30R Private
Depends on your budget, but ibasso DX160 2020 is a very good option, nice screen, average battery life for an Android dap. Good amplication, 4.4 bal output very neutral. An other option is to use a dongle for your phone, may be lotoo paw s1 or L&P W2.- miguel.yarce

@Timoteew, yes in the RAH you have a lot of possibilities, I just bought the fh3 only to have a on the go in ear but not as an upgrade, so if you want a daily use inear or second one FH3 is an good choice- miguel.yarce

@Timoteew they are quite different I feel a wider soundstage in the RAH but regarding the instrumental separation are almost in the same level. Depends on the filter combinations you can have a similar perfil, but the RAH brings more details on the mids and highs with a v shape very nice to...- miguel.yarce

Good Review! Regarding the balanced cable, IMO is important depending of the source, for example Im using a sony WM1A who is better using the 4.4 instead 3.5 so the balanced cable is a must in this case, also with my xdp-30r. btw nice dog :)- miguel.yarce

Now I'm using two models, IMR RAH and Fiio FH3. I would recommend the FH3 for the money is a nice option, and makes a nice combo with the wm1a.- miguel.yarce

Hi! May be with a brand new unit will be better let the stock FW till you can feel the difference from new to + 200h burn-in as sony recommend, and then when you "know" the original sound from the WM1A make the change to chamaleon 2.0 just to recognize the improvements.- miguel.yarce

I have never consider to buy the wm1z, Its not easy to bring it to México, the official store neither sell it here, thats why that possibility never cross my mind I think. But in your case if the budget is not an issue I can suggest to go for the z.- miguel.yarce

SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A
Nice work here MrWalkman! I had the wm1a a few months ago and changed it for a fiio m11pro, ibasso dx200 amp8 and a hiby r6pro. First off all I was looking for more amplification and something to try the android on DAPs. The big issue was that I didnt find the organic and rich sound from sony...- miguel.yarce

I had both and the 1am2 is a better match with the wm1a, the z7m2 needs more amplification, instead you can search the z7 original.- miguel.yarce
