B&O H9 Discussion and Impressions thread
That's a bummer man, that was my issue with the first gen, was hoping this would be comfortable enough to get the job done on 6 hour flights. Selling my 1st Gen QC35 and JBL Project Rocks so I can fund something wireless with a decent SQ. As much as I love some of the higher end things I've...- wakeride74

Beoplay (B&O) H7's announced
It's pretty early in the game and the audiophile cans are just getting started. I think we can only expect to see better offerings and cost to sound ratio as the demand for better sounding wireless cans continues.- wakeride74

Beoplay (B&O) H7's announced
I found the H8 controls awkward after using the M2 wireless but perhaps with the larger cups it would be easier. It boils down to sound for me, of course I would prefer to have that perfect blend of the H6/H8 in a wireless capacity but I'm not going to pay more and downgrade SQ so I can go...- wakeride74

Beoplay (B&O) H7's announced
I've owned the H8's, Momentum 2.0 wireless, and now the wired 2.0. After hearing the H6 in an Apple store I'm ready to part with my wired Momentum's. While I do enjoy the bass and energy of both the Mometum and H8, the lack of space between instruments, collapsed soundatage, and vocal clarity...- wakeride74

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 or M2 Wired
After a month of going rounds with my obsession to go wireless I've reached the point where the trade off just isn't worth it for me. The convenience is fantastic but what I hear and what it costs just festers under skin for me. I started with the M2 wireless and was underwhelmed...- wakeride74

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 (Wireless Noise Cancelling On-Ear Headphones)
Thanks for the feedback. I've been doing some reading and the comfort and sound sig seem to be enough for me to give these a go. Just waiting for amazon to get them back in stock. The M2w sounded pretty good for what they were but the top of my right hear was touching the driver and I just...- wakeride74

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 (Wireless Noise Cancelling On-Ear Headphones)
That sucks, I was hopping the fit and SQ would be about the same or close to. I also read in an amazon review that the H8 is a smaller version of the H6, making it an onear which is a big "no thanks" for me. Too bad, I was hoping this would be a nice alternative to the M2 which I don't think is...- wakeride74

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 (Wireless Noise Cancelling On-Ear Headphones)
What were your complaints? I liked the comfort and SQ of the H6 and although I do like my M2's I am having some comfort issues with the top of my right ear resting on the driver and causing issues for any enjoyment past the 2 hour mark. Looking for other options and not a fan of the...- wakeride74

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
I should disclose that other then my $25 BT headphones for the gym I have not tested any others. I wasn't a huge fan of the original Momentums but thought they were decent sounding, ruined for me by ear cups that were too small. An issue fixed with these. This. It's unfortunate but the...- wakeride74

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
Finally scored a pair from Amazon about a week ago and wanted to chime in. First off the issues I've read with Apple product connectivity has not been present in my experience with these over the past 5+ days. I live in a fairly rural area so didn't want to say much else until I had a chance to...- wakeride74

Comparisons: 36 of the Top Closed/Portable Headphones Around
Well after spending time with the 1350's, hp50's, and P7 I've gone back to the SRH 940's however I've put the 1540 alcantara pads on the which has added some more weight in the low end and a bit more body on the top making them very very enjoyable. Not ideal for portability and I will likely...- wakeride74

Galaxy S4 and audio crackling issue with UE600
OK, I know this is an old thread but my S4 (purchased new less than a year ago) is having this problem. I can hear a distortion or crackling with some female vocals and other guitar tones and elements within the upper mids. This is even there using usb otg with FiiO E17 and have heard the...- wakeride74

DAC/Amp for use with USB OTG?
I have a FiiO E17 that has been pretty decent for this purpose using with a OTG cable and Galaxy S4 but the headphone jack on it is having problems after it fell out and I had to glue it back in so I'm thinking it mught be time for an upgrade. Can anyone recommend something decent in the sub...- wakeride74

And there's battle for balance. On one hand I want something with a reasonably small footprint for portability and while on public transportation. On the other hand I am more concerned with SQ and of equal importance, something I can crank without leaking sound in a very quite office. Did you...- wakeride74

I picked up the P7 and burned them in overnight. Sounds about like what I remember in the best buy I demoed them in which is a solid, enjoyable sound. The issue I am having with them and may be a cause for a return is the vocals. They just sound too removed for my tastes. I prefer a more front...- wakeride74

Not a big fan of the Sony house sound usually and I did look at those but read some comments about their character in their thread that put me off. Mostly like the p7 from what I ah e demoed so far so will probably go with that.- wakeride74

Additionally the Yamaha HBH-MT220, while potentially less portable than others on the list has had few yet favorable reviews sufficient to elevate my interest and intrigue at a $200ish price point. If someone here has a pair willing to lend our OP it would be well added value to the thread.- wakeride74

Thanks! Agreed on the AKG's, not a big fan of the closed cans I've heard from them, vocalist sounds as if they are backstage! I went into Best Buy tonight and listened to the P7's some more as well as some HD380's, K550, K545, PSB, and whichever the on-ear version of the Momentum is called. The...- wakeride74

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
The clamping is fine for most of the cup but the bottom portion does not have enough force to maintain a seal. Every time I turned my head the sound would change. I thought the PSB was much more comfortable in this and the headband fit.- wakeride74

Hey buddy, thanks for this write up, nice to see some competent reviews from a name I recognize. Well I got these today and am pretty bummed. I was hoping these would be a win for me but I found them uncomfortable and unengaging. Not sure what I will try next, may just go back to the 940's, here's my amazon review: Good sound spoiled by a terrible design. I sold my Shure SRH 940’s to try...- wakeride74

You should send me your pair to demo, I really want to see if they are worthy to replace my 940's. I'm a sucker for front row female vocal presence and nice dark space between instruments. In exchange I'll send you an 80% lower that you can finish for me ;)- wakeride74
