Denafrips 'Pontus' R2R ladder DAC - close up view
Those that use Pontus with Singer Su 1 or another reclocker via I2S connection with better clocks like the crystek or accusilicon in them, it is a waste of money since the Pontus re-clocks the signal. Most of you would be better off not buying those devices- rudra

Get the mundorf caps. I got mine factory fitted. I haven't used a NFB 1.38 but used to have a NFB 17.32 but prefer the Denafrips R2R. YMMV- rudra

I think that argument is flawed (http://archimago.blogspot.com.au/2017/01/measurements-raspberry-pi-3-as-usb.html#more). I don't want to derail this thread. Let's agree to disagree- rudra

@cnspt I don't know for sure how many bits I am actually hearing , but in the grand scheme of things I don't care how many bits it is if I don't enjoy it. One thing to remember reviewers are human and we humans have biases. So enjoy your dac.- rudra

The connectors click in to place and are flush. It's early days. Listened to couple of hours no issues. Better comfort than the stock stable + nice sounding. I too had concerns. Matt assured me that they would work and they do.- rudra

you could always use a laptop cooler under the amp. That is what I did since mine came with no fans and had the Mundorf caps. No problems with heat. YMMV- rudra
