Audeze LCD i4 TOTL In-Ear Monitor Discussion
For those who received their B-stock units, did you find any cosmetic flaws? Mine has a small chip in the paint, but the performance is stellar for the price of course. Just curious.- Audioscope

AKG K3003 High End 3 Way System Headphone
I just want to say that I'm still enjoying the K3003 immensely even after the review I wrote here more than a year ago. They're totally accurate, have great dynamics, and a wide soundstage. Tip rolling makes a huge difference because the stock tips were not great for me and the bass was...- Audioscope

AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005
Can someone comment on how the N5005 sounds compared to the K3003? Is it a worthwhile upgrade or not so? I listened to the N5005 briefly at a store through a DAP and music unknown to me, so can't really judge.- Audioscope

Sony NW-ZX300
Guys, I need your wisdom. The ZX300 intrigues me because it has a closer warm sound signature to the WM1Z, but everyone says the WM1A is a steal. I prefer a warmer sound signature because most of the TOTL IEMs tend towards analytical to begin with. What's the best choice? For some reason, I...- Audioscope

In search of end-game*
I've really had my eye on the 1Z for a long time, but could never justify its price over the 1A or even ZX300. Some people claim that they cannot hear any appreciable differences from the ZX300 to the 1A or 1Z, which perhaps speaks to the point of diminishing returns. Where I live here, it's...- Audioscope

In search of end-game*
That gold brick is pretty impractical at its current price point (even used), but I am ok with waiting until the price drops more. Knowing myself, I can't stand a neutral or shrill sound and the black brick that is the WM1A gives me that impression compared to the gold brick. You got PM- Audioscope

In search of end-game*
Honestly, I like the effortless sound out of my ESP/950. It's detailed and warm like an ocean breeze on a summer's day. I also enjoy the sound out of my AKG K3003 a lot after I found the right tips for them. Almost neutral sounding with a wide soundstage, lots of detail, perfect tonality...- Audioscope

In search of end-game*
...years later. Bottom line, I love great sound, but I refuse to fall prey to consumerism and marketing. Some ideas I am pondering for end-game (*within reason). 1) Buy a Focal Clear to replace my T1 and LCD3F + Deckard. The bonus is that the Focal Clear can be powered by most portable...- Audioscope

Onkyo DP-S1 Rubato / Pioneer XDP-30R Private
So I tried the XDP-30R extensively and I really don't like the sound. Yes, the resolution is there and it's technically good, but there is nothing musical about this DAP. It is very fatiguing to listen to even after 15 minutes. After plugging in my Headstage Arrow 5TX, the sound improved...- Audioscope

Onkyo DP-S1 Rubato / Pioneer XDP-30R Private
Glad to hear! I am upgrading from a DX90 that I sold some time ago. Should I expect any improvements in sound quality? I was quite happy with the DX90's clarity, although the HM801 I had at the time sounded much more organic and realistic.- Audioscope

Waiting for my XDP-30R to show up. About the microSD card expansion - can anyone confirm the biggest capacity micro SD cards that it will accept? Is it really capped at 200gb per slot?- Audioscope

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Guys, I am somewhat curious about the Chord Mojo and have been looking at it for the last year, but still haven't bought one yet. I haven't been on Head-fi much lately, but it's now the end of 2017. Is the Chord Mojo still relevant? Do we foresee a Chord Mojo 2 coming out soon?- Audioscope

I have never visited the real Grand Canyon, but living on the East Coast, I was very excited to learn about the Letchworth State Park recently, or "Grand Canyon of the East Coast". The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)
Thanks guys. I usually don't worry about warranty issues with electronics much. The warranty period is often just 1 or 2 years, and as an engineer, we see that electronics often fail at the beginning of their life (manufacturing defects), or towards the end (design life/component life...- Audioscope
