Divinus Velvet don't do it for me. They kind of slightly dull the sound sig from bass to treble. Azla SednaEarfit Xelastec I & II are doing a wonderful job for me on most of my IEMs. Sound is more vivid.

Could you be justifying the 1K Monarch MKIII buy? :relaxed:. Many reviewers are saying Mega5EST smokes a lot of IEMs all the way to $2K. This IEM is disrupting the market. FYI, it's not necessarily "to be expected" that something more expensive sounds better. Look at the disruption Monarch Mk1...

Well, that engine isn't the same. The Alfa Romeo engine is 2.9L vs the the Ferrari's 3.9L version. Here, we're talking same part numbers, made by an excellent DAP Maker, Cayin. Also, A&K is no Ferrari of Audio :rolling_eyes:

When you say wider do you mean L=R width only? If so, which has the best depth? Does the BC Driver make music more holographic on the AEhta?

Love what Symphonium Audio is doing. Crazy how I enjoy my Meteor more than my Monarch. Symphonium does that pina gain area so well. Never shouty.

Any decent IEM with treble air up top has that peak (not this high though) including the Moon Drop S8, Meteor, U12T etc. It has to be carefully done. Without it, upper treble sounds rolled off.

How about moving the phone away, problem solved and just enjoying the music? Cayin already told us no streaming and those who buy it will be exactly who should buy it. Maybe this isn't for you? I like this idea of a Puritan DAP that you buy and just focus on listening to music. FYI local music...

Orchestra Lite is Bass Lite. Hype4 is basically a Mini-Monarch MKII. it's excellent for the price and nicely balanced with nothing lacking from Bass to treble. One reviewer I read even preferred it to the Hype 10 due to that balance. Let's also not forget the ThieAudio's beautiful soulfulness...
