Is there a difference in sound quality between gold and silver plated 3.5mm jacks? And how different is the sq?

If i do that to my xb500 then which socket should i buy? And is there a cable for both ear cups?

Hi im trying to make my sony xb500 have a detachable cable. I want to know which 3.5mm socket i should buy and which cable i should buy to connect to them. If you have any tips doing it, please tell me :). And btw xb500s have 2 headphone sockets.

About a week ago, i went to best buy and tried the new mixrs by dre. i didnt like the sound quality on them but i liked the bass thumping feeling. Will the ultrasone 580 dj1 have the same feeling of bass to them?

Btw i want headphones that have bass that you can feel the hard strong thump of

I am trying to find good headphones in the price range of $70-$150. I want headphones with strong bass, good soundstage, sound coloration, noise isolation (no leakage in the cans and out), and comfort. I listen to house, dubstep, rap/hip hop, and reggae.

I like colored sound.. so do you think i will like the shures? And are ultrasones only good for electronic music or are they good for any type of music?

Are uncolored headphones only for djs? So are you able relax and have fun with uncolore headphones?

Is the coloration of sound supposed to be important to listeners or does it not matter? And are bose headphones considered headphones with colored sound?
