Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Just got the 1More comfobuds 2 in. They're on sale on Amazon for $14.99. Old tech, I know... but I got them to see how they handle quiet (office) environment calls. the mic quality is very good -- easily comparable to the other tws I use for this specific use-case. The two standout of the bunch...

Just got the huawei freebuds 5 in -- great option for semi-open earbuds. The mic for calls is class leading, the app allows eq adjustments and the anc cancels out a surprising amount of low end noise. I always thought anc on these types of buds are useless, but I'm re-thinking my position now...

I don't have any issues with the fit with the aerofit pro. I was actually pretty surprised by the quantity of the bass... a v-shaped tuning. Another surprise is the mic quality. excellent, easily as good or better than anything on the market. I went ahead and ordered the Tozo openbuds which may...

    7Hz Impressions & Discussion

Still listening actively, every day, to the sonus and I'm getting increasingly more impressed. I've been out of the IEM game for some time, my last purchases were some sub $100 iems whose model names I forget because I didn't really end up listening to them much (a crinn collab, a hbb collab)...

Just mine today. They are a really, really good value. Quite astounding actually, for $60.

I still use my er2xr's regularly, great iems. Lately I prefer the less-ear-violating ety double flange tips. great eartips

curious, how do you carry around your audio stuff? I imagine you carrying 2 or 3 TWS' and an iem or two at all times. Man bag?

I've always thought Apple did a great job with their implementation of AAC. I used to always chase the highest bitrate bluetooth transmission rates from the very first rooted android phone, the g1 and always preferring LDAC when possible. But over the last 5 or 6 years, I've settled with Apple...

Yep, there are a number of sub $100 iems that sound noticeably better than tws earphones, too many to list.

the momentum 4 is a favorite for me -- sounds great out of the box and the mics are actually class leading.

I've noticed the same, it takes too much effort to really evaluate equipment -- I need to really concentrate in absolute silence and even then I can tell I'm not hearing things the way I used to. I'm just accepting my age as a feature, now I don't get bothered as much by various weaknesses in...

Ironically narrow android phones are actually more readable and useable for email and general reading content for two reasons: 1. taller screen allows for less scrolling 2. microsoft swiftkey (android version) is a better keyboard than the ios keyboard. The ios version of swiftkey blows and...

Very helpful tip for removal. The buds studio plus are even harder to remove, for me.

I'm asking cause I'm off to Hawaii next week and wanted an excuse to get them, but looks like you won't be able to give impressions in time. :(

Is the anc on your status acceptable for plane noise?

Are you suggesting I get another one? :) I almost want another. But I think I'm good for now. *crosses fingers* https://www.head-fi.org/threads/going-fully-wireless-iems-too-soon-or-are-we-there-yet.861024/post-17562683

Yeah, I'm going to to assume that SQ has not improved significantly and that's fine for me because I think the az60 sound great -- no longer top tier, but still very good. I don't prioritize sound for tws anyways. Multipoint, ANC and call quality is more important (for my use-case), then sound.

I don't see them on Amazon. What country is the az80 avail on amazon?

If you resist the hype, those two models are great and are still awesome TWS earphones. I listen to both regularly.

wow, I am embarrassed to say I have been completely brain-washed by the Apple marketing machine. Even more surprising given that I've rooted and used over 30 Android phones (starting with the g1). I blame my work. Even though the last 5 startups all provided macbooks, I never had to get an...

Well, for anyone that has this tws, I eq them this way, makes them listenable. Multipoint is good and the mic quality is good as well, so it's going into my rotation for calls at the computer.
