    Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5

Hi, I'm trying to get a short mmcx cable for the xba z5 (so it could connect to my clip on bluetooth amp) Any ideas?

    Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5

Can anyone tell how the xba z5 compare to the ex800st?

    Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5

Hi, Will running the xba z5 on a bluetooth headphone amp (fiio btr1k in my case) do them justice? And what about directly from a (relatively high quality) smartphone output?

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Eventually, after too much time spent on reading headphone reviews, I decided to intuitively order a pair of ath-im70 (I have great faith in audio technica) Will report back when they get to me

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Hi ljokerl. Thanks so much for the reply, and for this amazing thread.   - Can you comment regarding "sony-ish" sound with comparison to the main candidates above? - Should t-peos altone2000 should be considered in this category?

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Hey Suman, Thanks for your help. - Is the build quality of the DN-1000 anywhere near MA750? - What is your impression of the sony xba 3? Is it driven easily by any source? Does it have a full sound with good bass response, and good detail?

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Do the MA750 have a BIG sound? I'm really impressed with their build quality, but fear they are more a basshead iem, rather than a balanced one with good bass.   I did get to try the sony XBA H2, with my source (galaxy s4), and was really impressed by the sound. I wonder if XBA 40 could...

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Hi, I currently listen mostly to RE0, which I absolutely love. I'm looking into buying another IEM, in the sub 200$ department, that would sound differently, looking for a bigger sound with more bass (I have a pair of brainwavz R1, which brought the idea of bigger sound into my life)...

    Brainwavz R1 Review

    Brainwavz R1 Review

I have the mic model, which is designed mostly for iphone. This makes the headphones not suitable for all 3.5mm sockets (TRS & TRRS), including the 6.35mm adapter provided with them. They do not work well with my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 as headphones. I spoke about it with mp4nation...

    Audio interface + AKG K702

Hi, I have both k702 and fast track pro.   I'll tell you this:  You can listen through the audio interface headphone out. You will have to crank the volume knob almost all the way in order to get decent volume. In fact, you can do this with almost any device, including your laptop...

Budget headphone amp for K702 for studio use

Quote: Actually, my brother heard it in a store in Hong Kong a year ago with the K701, and said it felt like a very good combo. So it is the closest thing I have for hearing this amp (or any amp at all) myself (AKA evidence from semi-first hand).  I like the fact that I buy from a...

Budget headphone amp for K702 for studio use

I've eventually decided to go with a meier corda SWING. I feel safer buying from a European maker (and a fine maker as I have heard), with a real 2 year warranty. Hopefully I could send some report about it soon.

    E9 vs the world

I'm really wondering how much more do I get for so much more money. Unfortunately, it's not possible to listen & compare these amps anywhere.   Isn't there a true hero, brave enough to claim and explain why E9 is good enough?

    E9 vs the world

Hi, I started another thread a few days back (http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/536307/budget-headphone-amp-for-k702-for-studio-use), but couldn't come to a conclusion, so I decided to raise a new question.   In the other thread I was purposed a few analog solid state amps for under 300...

Budget headphone amp for K702 for studio use

I can get the m-stage and the lovely cube fully assembled for about the same price shipped.  Which one do you think is the superior one?

Budget headphone amp for K702 for studio use

Is there no one to claim that the E9 is indeed a winner at the 300 USD price point?

Budget headphone amp for K702 for studio use

In regards of fiio e7 - I do not need it's dac capabilities, since my soundcard's dac is very high quality. Also, the possibility to connect it as a USB soundcard, is a nice to have, but unnecessary for my needs.    I do need an amp with a decent analog input, or a dac/amp combo with a built...

Budget headphone amp for K702 for studio use

Hello, I recently got my K702, and I am super happy about them. The thing is that my audio interface (MR816X, a pretty awesome dac by itself) seems to struggle in powering them. I need to max volume levels to get decent listening volumes, which makes my headphones sound a bit distorted, with...
