Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

So are you saying that the shanling has Line-out digital input? or can you connect it to a USB-OTG and then the mojo to give a digital signal to mojo somehow?

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Take a look at the Mojo thread, and you'll see quite a few photos, where people are using the M1 with their Mojo - http://www.head-fi.org/t/784602/chord-mojo-dac-amp-faq-in-3rd-post   EDIT:  The Mojo has ONLY Digital inputs, no analog audio inputs at all.

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Yes, the Mojo has USB audio input (but no analogue input) so this device is perfect for the Mojo.

M1 stacked with gear like Mojo works as transport only, so sound depends only on Mojo.

I customized that Mojo case since it was hard to get the Mojo case in the Philippines. That was originally designed to stick with my Sony Z3 as transport. I added velcro from the mojo case and z3 case so make it stick with each other.

I made it myself bro. synergy is good for m1 and mojo.. I like it better than my Z3+Mojo

Where are you located? I'd be interested in getting a hand-crafted MOJO case!

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

I just bought one to for feeding my Chord Mojo and link my mobile phone to Mojo over Bluetooth.   I assume this works fine now for Spotify Extreme or Tidal HiFi and no quality loss over BT AptX ? (compared to wired).   Any comment on linking with Mojo? I already have a 10cm microUSB to USC-C...

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

My OTG cable works, it is detected on both side, but the provided cable does not go all the way in on the Mojo side and is not detected on the Mojo side.   To clarify, with my cable, the Shanling says "OTG detected" but doesn't output music to the Mojo. The Mojo still detects a signal as the...

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

The M1 (USB-C) to Mojo (Micro-USB) connection is the only one that is available (unless you want to convert the USB digital output of the M1 to SPDIF, and use one of the SPDIF inputs on the Mojo). There are links on the Mojo thread for short OTG cables that will work for connecting the two devices.

I have read that astell & kerm are excellent transport for the mojo and that the sound of the mojo varies depending on the digital transport. beyond the practicality of the M1 shanling you are sure that it makes good transport for the mojo? better than an astell & kerm?

I only have one cable, because the one provided with it doesn't fit in the Mojo (that's right the micro USB doesn't fit in the Mojo, and no, I am not trying to insert a C into the Mojo)

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

...and will be stuck to listening straight from DAP which I think the Fiio X1 will have a slight advantage used direct.   Since stuff like the Mojo isn't cheap I probably can get a Shanling M1 or similar together with the Mojo when I have that kind of money anyway ;)   Really envious of you...

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Couple of questions for those of you using the M1 to feed your Mojo. First, beyond the "I like the SQ of the Mojo" reasoning, what are the benefits of using the M1/Mojo stack over just using the M1 as a stand alone DAP? Second, assuming it is stacked like shown in @capnjack's photo, how do you...

It would help if I actually read instead of just skim your post, right :p M1 + Mojo sounds like Mojo. Have you read over a few Mojo reviews? I can only imagine it would sound better than E17 ;)

You cannot double amp the Mojo for two reasons:   Mojo does not contain an amplifier Mojo only accepts digital inputs (it is a DAC, and not a DAP!)

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

I have Tidal Hifi and I have a LGV20 which sends Aptx (I beleive) to the M1 which at this point is only being used a source to USB into Mojo which then Mojo takes full control of sound. The Mojo will sound the same regardless of source but will sound different on the input whether its USB, Coax...

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Then this little thing can not only connect to my Mojo but I will be able to EQ the mojo?

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

Mojo don't get any power in any case from any source. Mojo has two USB inputs, one for power only and one for digital audio without power. So no worrie about this.

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD

for those using m1 with mojo, how does it sound? I am asking because with Android I found usb route to mojo a bit thin sounding as compared to fiiox3 coaxial route.

Yes I am - I don't have a Mojo or any other DAC, for that matter.
