hrmm.. everything is great with the empy as it is a pretty, well made.. "good" sounding headphone. (note, not great nor amazing - just good.) Might I suggest a primaluna evo 300? I'd suggest that (or something else) Look at the the WA5 if you are trying to drive something that uses a lot of...- Zurv

woo.. testing time this weekend! I'm starting with the RCA JAN. (GE - as it was GE that made the RCA 5962s. RCA never them.) So far, like the seller pointed out - SUPER quiet! Amplitrex AT1000 Test Results uMhos & gV 95%+ = within NOS Specs Mutual Conductance...- Zurv

HiFiMan Susvara
I’m using the balanced out as the taps are unfriendly to access. That said, I should have an adaptor tomorrow. I plan to try it off the taps of my primaluna evo 400. https://lqicables.com/collections/adapters-interconnects/products/balanced-xlr-4-pin-female-to-speaker-taps-banana-plugs-pins i...- Zurv

HiFiMan Susvara
Not only did i get a new cable today, but also finally setup the woo wa5. Up till now i liked the Susvara, but it seemed to lack magic. I'd always move back to the Utopia. Oh it has magic now. Is it the extra power? (the Phonitor x should have outputted enough). Is it the KR 300B HP (note, the...- Zurv

There is more than enough power for the Susvara. around 40% volume knob is all i needed. The most interesting part was with the extra power of the wa5 (vs the SPL Phonitor X and the mj2 that i've been using) - is it sounds the same, but with better bass. I don't mean pointless added bass. It...- Zurv

question for settings: Susvara == High power, Low Impedance and High level? Utopia == Low power, High Impedance (?), and Low Level? It is the Impedance that confuses me a little. (unless i'm totally off on everything :) )- Zurv

hrmm.. totally not loving how big it is. *sigh* but that is on me for not checking the size. I started with a wa33.. change the order because it was to big (and costly) to a wa22, but then got the susvara... and change the order again to a wa5 :P The wife already gave me the look... she didn't...- Zurv
