School me on some Fear Factory:
In my opinion the best place to start with Fear Factory is Demanufature which is the second album (and in my opinion the best) and then Obsolete. The first album Soul of A new Machine is more death metal. The newer albums are weaker but have some good songs on there. Digimortal has always seemed... -
Which online comics do you read regularly?
While not a comic (flash cartoon) I enjoy the everyday happenings of weebl and sometimes weebl's friend bob. Some of these have me in stitches. it is a funny and quite regular (~bi-weekly, I think) www.weebl.jolt.co.uk- Wookie

Does anyone here own a Subaru WRX?
I think rallying changed the rules a few years ago but I think rally cars had to be production cars hence the wrx which was/is almost identical to the rally version. I was shocked watching Top Gear and they had the new Evo on and they said that it gets something daft like 400bhp like out of a 2...- Wookie

New iPod Shuffle
As people have said, I think those for the shuffle (including me) are for it in part because it is an ipod and its apple. This is because their track record is good, their players tend to look good, sound good and are easy to use. Owning an iriver imp-400 as well as an ipod I have to say that...- Wookie

Which signatures are you favourites?
I can't remember who or on which site but I quite liked one that went along the lines of "If all intelligent people buy macs, why does it have an OS designed for idiots?"- Wookie

New iPod Shuffle
I was talking to my brother last night who seemed quite interested in purchasing himself an mp3 player fopr himself as my mam had gotten a muvo v200, my sister bought a tevion (not a bad little player suprisingly) and I had gotten a 20gig ipod. I showed him the shuffle and said i think apple...- Wookie

New iPod Shuffle
As far as i know only BlessingX has listned t oit so far and he said he couldn't make a judgement as far as sound quality is concerned. For a sight that is in search for sound quality and best bang for their buck I'm surprised how quickly people are so quick to dismiss and compare it to players...- Wookie

New iPod Shuffle
This thing has started to grow on me, a screen wold be nice but is in no means neccessary. On a the 512mb you would have about 100 songs most of the time you wil have put them on fairly recently so its not as if you will have to skip far to find a song you want to liste to. Its going to be...- Wookie

iHome - Might be a good dedicated source?
I always find that Macs don't look that expensive until you check the spec. upgrade it to what you would want and then the price doesn't seem so cheap anymore. I would of thought any computer Mac or PC would have at least 512mb of RAM but this only has 256mb. Its still cool though and I should...- Wookie

AV-710 drivers
The only other thing i think i would try if it happened to me would be to try the later drivers, if that didn't work try a different pci slot and then as a last resort format and reinstall everything. After that i would probably fiddle with the bios see if something had been switched off...- Wookie

This might not be of any help but have you tried setting the card as the default device because if you are running the onboard as well that is likely still the default so unless you set specific programs to use the chaintech all sound will go through the onboard sound.- Wookie

PC Gamers-Recommend some games.
If you play Farcry i'd check the difficulty as the last levels can be stupidly difficult. You could also try Vampire: Bloodlines, it is an rpg that uses the source engine, well written but a tad buggy.- Wookie

AV-710 alterantives
Try http://www.compgeeks.com I ordered 2 of the chaintechs from them. It took just over a month to get them though, but that was to the UK. The shipping was $20 for one card or it was $24 for the 2. I got them this afternoon and both work and sound great.- Wookie
