Not at all. Have the H7, H9, and H9i, but I still love the H9i the most. Plus, who needs AptX? AAC is much superior, and besides, if you’re all for sound quality, you wouldn’t be listening through Androids.

They definitely did. When I asked why my Beoplay S3s in stereo mode weren’t working with an AptX LL transmitter, they said “Our products don’t work with AptX anymore.” This means they tried to disable it through a software update. “Tried to”, I said, because they failed in disabling that on my H9.

I notice no distortion either. What I notice now though, is a SUPER CLEAN and UNBELIEVABLY amazing Transparency mode. It actually feels like you’re not wearing headphones now. And accentuates bass pretty well (say, you’re on Transparency mode with speakers playing).

Static is expected for Bluetooth headphones (when playing and a few moments after pausing). Actually, the H9i’s static is one of the fine ones. Other headphones like V-MODA’s Crossfade 2 Wireless, have way more noticeable statics.

Absolutely. My H9 sounds somehow better and cleaner when paired with my iPhone (AAC) compared to when it’s paired to my PC (Aptx Low Latency). After a while the difference goes away, but on the initial listening you definitely know you’re listening to a different sound profile.
