My pair of Audio Technica M50's were very uncomfortable. Sold them after a month despite the great sound.

I am looking for a very comfortable set of headphones, plain and simple. Obviously they must sound good, emphasis on bass if possible. Portability would also be a plus, short cable a must... Price is open for now. Anything along these lines?

I just purchased my M50 as my first headphones. While the sound is great, they are very uncomfortable and heavy. They also have a 10' cable which makes it very difficult to manage when your just walking the dog or something. If I had to pick again I would have probably picked the smaller HD25-1's.

I feel as if certain people bash beats simply because it's the cool thing to do on these forums. I wonder how many of those people have honestly listened to a set with an open mind. I may not have as keen an ear as some people on here, but I do not believe they sound bad at all. It just seems...

Can someone post a picture of how they shortened theirs with these velcro straps? I assume just roll into big loops and put the velcro around it? Still seems a bit inconvenient.

I know in retrospect the Sennheiser HD 25 are better headphones, but I don't find them visually appealing to me, and I heard they are lacking  in the bass department. However they would be a very good compliment to my M50's.
