Audeze LCD-X
I am sorry, i have not. It was also in my set of choices (blind buy) but i chose the LCD X for the build quality and aftersales services. I believe that within 1000 to 2000 USD there is not much deviation from each other. Its just that they are presented differently. Unless LCD X compared to...- whill

Audeze LCD-X
I cannot speak for other headphones but with T1, i prefer the LCD X more for the reason it has low end that lacks in T1 also, T1 sounded thin compared to LCD X and both are really unforgiving to poorly mastered recordings but i do agree that the highs is little bit peaky.- whill

It could also be that, you are just new to this kind of sound (as from what i have understood on your earlier post). It could be really be "too much" at first, same goes if your coming from bright headphones to a darker one it seems everything is smeared out. Let it settle first and give time to...- whill

Audeze LCD-X
I think the LCD X has the usual 4K "dip" (Audeze dip) but it also has a slight rise with 6KHz that is why sometimes it is quite bright (bordering sibilant) which is where our ears are most sensitive. Comparing to Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen, - this sounds that it is really peaking since it has the...- whill

Audeze LCD-X
Hi, I can only attest in my experiences since I have 2 (i think) neutral-bright headphones which are T1 2nd Gen and recently acquired LCD X. I also listen to some electronic/edm genres and at times, it can sound bright/sharp but not as piercing as T1 2nd gen. In terms of bass it has a lot of...- whill

Audeze LCD-X
Hi, So last night, I did a comparison of the LCD X using 2 amps which are Auralic Taurus MKII and Burson Soloist SL, I just wanted to share my impressions: Burson Soloist SL (Single Ended) Now, I know why many are saying that this is a good combo. With a full bass, meaty mids and an open treble...- whill

You are right, i never passed 9oclock in the volume knob using single ended connection. Probably, i have to buy and try balanced connection for the LCD X. Currently the sound of LCD X using SE is very flat but there is a certain heft and authority specially in the bass region. Comparing to my...- whill

AURALiC owners unite!
Hi! I hope everyone is safe during these days. I recently acquired a LCD X headphones at a very nice price. I cannot find any articles that confiirms the output impedance of the SE and BAL of Taurus amp (still also waiting for the feedback of Auralic) and I am just wondering if its compatible...- whill

Audeze LCD-X
Coming from Beyerdynamic T1 2nd Gen, i can say that T1 bass are a bit bloated and less defined compared to LCD X. T1 also have recessed mids compared to LCD X. In terms of treble, LCD X is less pronounced compared to T1, it is a little bit peaky on poor recordings but not as excessive and...- whill

Audeze LCD-X
Hi, It might sound odd, but let me ask anyway.. But did anyone of you experienced that when barefooted and touched the earcups (any metal part side from the headband) there is a little bit of hum without any playing music? Even the amp is turned off? However if i put something in my feet the...- whill
