IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Yes it is. Hard to say if it is better than S12, for my preference I like the Hidizs more. Some prefer the S12. Sidegrade is the better word. Hidizs: Bigger soundstage and smoother, so not as sharp but still pretty detailed. I can only use the s12 with eq, the Hidizs needs no eq imo. It is...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Octavius already said it...you will miss something. A slight v can be nice, but a typical v-shaped is not perfect for metal. If you like it like that it's o.k....i think there are so many kinds of metal (I think 73 subgenres on rateyourmusic), so many different ears and preferences that it's...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

I own the Hidizs MP145 since 2 months and I have to say that's a very good iem for metal and not expensive (~170 Euro). It's a big one so not for small ears. You can leave it stock, also very nice with a big soundstage, detailed (planar), quick punchy bass and minimum planar timbre (compared to...

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

I'm pretty shure I heard the stealth version. Had also very good details and soundstage. I'd also like to know if it's possible to tune the stealth to the organic.. the organic didn't have this planar timbre that I know, sounded natural, similar to a DD but with all the advantages of a planar...

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Listened to some open and closed ones in the 1000-3000 € price range. Best imo for metal: Fostex Th900 MK2 (pearl white, red wasn't there) and the Arya Organic (the normal Arya was o.k. too but organic is on another level for me- better dynamics, more punch, better tuning for metal, very good...

Reply to review by 'Vanda99' on item 'HIFIMAN Arya Organic'

I listen to Arya and Arya-Organic yesterday side by side. Arya sounded really good, but all you said in this review is true. The organic sounded more clear, dynamic and fun for me, very good sounstage. Punches like closed ones. Highly recommended for Metal but think very good for all genres...

Really enjoy Beyerdynamics T5p (2nd gen) with Dekoni Pads (comfort) and this EQ. Punchy, detailed, great soundstage, dynamic- sounds great :). Tested all kinds of metal (specially Melodeath, Metalcore, Death, Trash) The Fostex Th610 is also not bad imo.

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Hi, thanx man, ya maybe one day! I was also interested in the xenns top before I decided for the 10th. Wanted a tribrid so... . At the moment I really enjoy the penon. I can listen to all genres of music (except for classical music there are better ones for sure) for metal I reduce bass (just by...

Th The original ones of P8 don't fit my ears, use final e clear and never had problems with them on p8. Same with spinfit cp100 plus.

I listen to melodeath most of the time. I have the aful performer 8 and the penon 10th anniversary. First is more neutral, better mids- nice vocals, the penon has better bass (really great), treble and soundstage, more fun tuning- minimum bass-bleed. Both are good for melodeath imo cause both...

Squiglink is really a nice app. The function to auto eq one iem to another and export it to wavelet (although not correct cause of different driver and housing oc) is pretty useful to get at least an impression how another iem could sound. I'm sure some people here heard tons of headphones, see...

A dumb question: You said you use them for walking commuting- why not Bluetooth buds? Before I get thumbs down, an iem is better for sure (at least when you spend a little more on them), but when I'm walking inside or outside the house, stand up in the morning and don't want to deal with cables...
