Hi guys, long time no see :) I sold mine ST7 some time ago, but I missed it so much that ordered a custom 6 BA from our local rising DIY star. And you know what? It's fantastic! Even better tonality than my old ST7. We did some work correcting, what I was seeing as flaws of EJ07's tonality...- ulus

BGVP discussion thread DM7/ DM6/DMG and NEW BA series
Here's my thoughts after a few days of listening. DM8 is a great IEMs, I love it. Very powerful and rich sound with natural timbre. Extended bass with a good slam, full bodied lower mids, aggressive guitars and clear vocals at the same time. Has a little spark in a treble region, but perfectly...- ulus

Regarding the BGVP VG4. My dear friends from russian DIY community are discovered a big tweak for this IEM, makes it sound more balanced and natural. I want to shre it with you guys. VG4 acts differently depending on source's output impedance. Sources with ~0-2 Ohm makes it sound too bright...- ulus

EJ07 and ST7 also use Sonion 2389 for midrange. EST looks the same to me. Never had the Strarlight for testing, but I'm sure they are identical to EJ07 and ST7.- ulus

Same, except the stock cable and accessories. Ananda is much more supperior soundstage-wise, requires much more power to drive though. But I think it is not correct to compare iems and headpones.- ulus

As AE shop manager told me, $500-ish prices was to get more people to try ST7, to launch the hype wave at the sales start. I think the next opportunity to get ST7 for $500-550 will appear only on 11.11, if at all.- ulus

Standard knowles dampers, yes. Actually both are changeable, but for EST it is more tricky and you risk to crack the shell.- ulus

Every DD needs some burn time. Right out of the box the bass is a bit lacking, but after 30-40 hours of play time it will be much better.- ulus
