Yay finally got my replacement X2's after having some problems with my old set back in November/December (paint peeling off and oily tint leaks that ruined some important papers on my desk. I did not mind the glue at all).   Since a lot of people here are saying that these HP-s get even better...

  Try leaving them on a desk with a white sheet of paper underneath for 24h. I am just curious whether the pads bleed ink.

  Just replace them. I got exactly the same issue (WOOX pair) and will RMA my pair maybe at the end of the month with the hope that Philips will restock those babies from a brand new batch.

I also have written a letter of complaint to Philips Sound Nordics @ Gibson. They promised to send my claim to the correct level. 

This is upsetting. I am thinking already, whether I should wait a little bit before returning my set in the hope to get a piece from another batch. Though there is no guarantee and most likely will be some sort of QA issues. I wonder if there is way to map some specific problems from the serial...

I also bought mine from Markantalo. Same glue residue issue. Will RMA them as there are more quality issues. Nevertheless the sound quality is superb.

I have been using them in an open type office solution. And to be honest, the sound leak is barely noticable for an open back headset. From 2m away you will be able to hear the mild tune you listen to, from 5m and more the sound leak merges with the ambient sound. So far none of my co-workers...
