Turns out my computer doesn't output the same level of volume to both drivers. I swapped sides(right driver into left ear) and now my left side is quitter than the right.   Atleast I know I am not going deaf, still annoying though regardless.

I recieved my c710's today. I am in love. They have a similar sound signature compared to my iM-490s. Only difference is clarity is much improved, soundstage is slighly wider and a teeny bit forward, deeper clearer bass and more sparkly highs. I love them and this is only with about 4 hours...

Cool man. Have fun with your stuff. I used to run with the infinity reference 6820cs component set. Same thing as what you have except my speakers 6x8's as opposed to your 6 1/2, and mine have a separate tweeter and crossover network. Good speakers, I liked them.

Noise deadeners have their place. I put some on the inner and outer sheet metal skin in my doors to silence annoying panel resonance. It worked like a charm. It is also great for helping rid trunk lid vibration when you have a subwoofer. OP, did you already buy all the stuff you listed...
