I've connected with Honeyboy and he indeed has confirmed its synergy. MMT is on my shortlist, thanks for sharing!- tawmizzzz

For sure- I am quite happy with the WL Server, and I do have an etherREGEN in between my router and streamer (mostly for peace of mind although I noticed a cleaner sound versus a normal tplink network switch). Some quality TWL ethernet cables to and from the etherREGEN. I will try and get a demo...- tawmizzzz

Currently using Rockna Wavelight which is upsampled via i2s with its' Wavelight Server counterpart. Sound is immaculate, but I did notice that switching from the Ferrum OOR/Hypsos to the WA23, that the sound has become a bit too warm and dark for me despite the unparalleled musicality. I know...- tawmizzzz

Tempting! I am on the fence about throwing $1700+ on Tak 2A3s for my WA23 (leaving the rectifier alone for now), but fluctuating between tubes or upgrading power conditioner or going all out on a total DAC. The latter being most expensive obviously, but the most likely immediate boost in SQ as...- tawmizzzz

Oh boy-this rabbithole is going to hurt my wallet even more, ain't it. Thanks for creating @goldwerger ! +1 similar to above statements. I noticed a blacker background using a Niagara1200 vs wall outlet with boost to overall technicalities. But I live in an older building where the electricity...- tawmizzzz

+1. The balance when swapping to the superb DHC Complement C15 gets thrown off, so that stays on my Meze Elites. And although yes the $3.9k Shirogane Ultimate HP cable did sound a touch "better", it was quite negligible given the price discrepancy. The stock cables' aesthetics and feel are...- tawmizzzz

Delete HeadFi😂 During the 1.5 year gap I stayed away, I bought zero new gear. Since my relapse, the upgraditis is heavier than ever.- tawmizzzz

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
I owned both and they're quite complementary---Elites are faster sounding, have a larger soundstage width which adds to feeling of "air", a bit more of a smoother, linear and slightly romantic sound signature. Due to tuning, Calderas might come across as more clarity-based, but I found Elites...- tawmizzzz

Rockna Wavelight
Thanks gents. I should have mentioned as I did in the other thread that I did try stacking the components on top of one another to close the distance, yet the connection still feels a bit wobbly, albeit at least straighter. I’ll figure out rearranging the set up again so that the cable...- tawmizzzz

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
Yeah I liked the thick pads for Calderas. It did make the sound a bit too warm for me afterwards because I find the Calderas are actually treble-shy, but it's those pushed-forward upper mids that add the energy (and ultimately fatigue from stock). However, it is nowhere as aggressive as the...- tawmizzzz

High End Cables Thread (digital, analog, power)
Does anyone have suggestions for keeping the Concentus i2s more securely attached? I'd say it could be partly the Wavelight's HDMI socket being a bit loose, but the Pink Faun i2s slots in perfectly so I think it is more of a Tubulus situation. Stacking the WL and WLS to decrease distance does...- tawmizzzz

Rockna Wavelight
I recall some talks a while ago about the HDMI/i2s socket on the DAC loosening up over time, especially with something like the Tubulus i2s IC. Does anyone have any DIY suggestions for keeping the interconnect more securely plugged in? Pics attached. Coincidentally, I have no issues when using...- tawmizzzz

MEZE AUDIO ELITE - The New Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone - official thread
A buddy of mine had me use PJ Harvey as a test track for upper-midrange sibilance back in the day for the Rhapsodio Infinity MkII---amazing vocals but her voice can definitely get intense. I echo the sentiment with others that the Elites compared to other TOTLs are extremely smooth and while...- tawmizzzz
