15 years of the same Microphone problem, please help.
I might have to give that a try. It might be possible that all of my motherboards have been Asus brand. I don't know if it's a known issue that they all have microphone issues, that would be strange. On the mic settings, with 0 DB boost my talking doesn't even register. It has to be between...- Super3dcow

15 years of the same Microphone problem, please help.
Every microphone I have ever used that doesn't connect via USB has tons of static in it. I have used a lot of computers and microphones over the past 15 years, and no matter how hard I search or how much I play around with every possible setting and driver, I can not solve it. Everyone else who...- Super3dcow

Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.
For anyone who stumbles upon this old thread of mine, here's an update - I originally bought the AD700, and used them for a few years. I loved them, although they squeezed my head a little. However at the store where I worked they had the A700s, discounted because of them no longer being...- Super3dcow

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?
It does have the ports for 5.1 surround sound. There's something I just noticed. Whatever the default output is set to when I open Wirecast, that's what it stays on. If I switch the default output on my PC, Wirecast doesn't change with it. I wonder if I start it with my TV set as...- Super3dcow

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?
I see how the first two options might help, but not the last two. I need to have Skype's audio in the live stream broadcast, but not coming out of my speakers. I'm guessing the first two options would create an extra source to set Skype's output to, which would allow me to receive the...- Super3dcow

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?
okay. I use a simple Logitech stereo system. There are 4 active playback sources. LCD TV(because I use a tv for a monitor with an HDMI cable.) Realtek Digital Output (not used) Realtek Digital Output Optical (not used) Speakers (what I use for all my audio) Skype detects...- Super3dcow

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?
Hmm, I don't think any of us have one of those, or the ability to connect to bluetooth since we all use desktop PCs. Do you know how to actually do it with tweaking output settings?- Super3dcow

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?
I'm sorry this isn't a hardware related question, but this was the only place I could think of where I could get a fast answer. I do live streaming with my brothers, and I usually pick up their microphone audio through Skype. However we are having a LAN party tomorrow. It appears the...- Super3dcow

Left headphone louder than right. Sony MDREX10LP
Yeah I ran multiple tests with the headphones, using them with the MP3 player, my nintendo DS, and my PC. The best evidence was on the PC when I held the headphones in my hand, played a mono track loudly, and panned the sound left to right. The left always sounded noticeably louder. I...- Super3dcow

Left headphone louder than right. Sony MDREX10LP
Well I didn't expect them to be amazing, although I'm very happy with how nice they sound for $10. I did have a $20 pair of sennheisers before these, and I feel these sound better. I just don't want to go on another very long search for good value headphones with an anti-tangle slider.- Super3dcow

Left headphone louder than right. Sony MDREX10LP
I saw these sony headphones had 4 reviews, all 5 stars, and could be purchased at a walmart for only $10, and were best for the price. http://www.head-fi.org/products/sony-mdrex10lp-blk-in-ear-headphones After some use, I realized that the left side sounded louder, and kind of distorted. I...- Super3dcow

What happened to the Creative MegaWorks 250D-THX?
Been researching for a few hours now trying to find good PC speakers for around $100, and CNET gave the Creative MegaWorks 250D-THX speakers a great review, saying they out-perform many other speakers like the Logitech Z-2300. Only problem is, nobody seems to be selling them anywhere. Anyone...- Super3dcow

Need quick suggestion between 2 marshmallows
Been reading for a while on head-fi about different IEMs, and in the 20-30$ range, the marshmallows seem to get the least criticism and problems. If these are as amazing sounding as people say, which of these 2 seemingly different JVC Marshmallow headphones are the best and safest buy...- Super3dcow

Do lossless files sound better on portable players?
I have a question for you guys, and thought this would be the best place to ask rather than make a new thread. Do most MP3 players play songs with the same quality, or are some MP3 players significantly better than others? I Currently have a Sandisk: Sansa. Model e260. The only big problem I've...- Super3dcow

Looking for good sound card for ATH A700 headset
Alright, thank you very much for the reply. I think I am leaning towards getting the Beyer DT 770 or higher someday, since those are praised quite highly on this forum. I would love to have that sound card, but I don't think I have the money to spend on it yet. But I will keep it in mind in the...- Super3dcow
